What customers say about "Size & Weight"
Pentax K-50 16MP Digital SLR Camera Kit with DA L 18-55mm WR f3.5-5.6 Lens (Black)
- So I needed a camera that is versatile, somewhat compact, has a nice array of features, and is easy to use. I’m quite happy to the right choice with the K-50.
- Its what I wanted. It accepts prior Pentax glass, is light weight and relatively compact.
- The camera has a perfect weight to it - enough to make you steadier but not to heavy.
- The camera feels nothing but incredibly durable, comfortable, responsive and strong with a great classic feel with it's white color.
- The weight and balance of this camera are great. The lens itelf is top notch.
Canon EOS 70D Digital SLR Camera with 18-135mm STM Lens
- The size is larger - almost fits as nice as the full frame ones in your hand. Yes it is heavier, but I really don't notice the weight difference in use.
- Really love the compact size and lightweight of both the camera and lens.
- Great camera - much better than the rebel series that I have been using for years. The bigger size makes holding it easier but it takes a whole to get used to the control locations.
- I think this is a nicely sized camera and the controls are very well placed for my hands.
- The camera is much bigger and heavier than the T1i. In some ways this is better to balance out the weight of some of my lenses, but still it is definitely heavier and larger.

What customers say about "Imaging"
Pentax K-50 16MP Digital SLR Camera Kit with DA L 18-55mm WR f3.5-5.6 Lens (Black)
- After shooting in JPEG for a week or two, I’ve switched to shooting in RAW format. Either format produces some wonderful pictures.
- The 16MP density might appear a bit modest by today’s standards, but I have no complaint about picture quality whatsoever.
- Detail…color…sharpness…they’re all are absolutely wonderful. No disappointments at all.
- I would and do recommend this camera if you are like myself and finally giving up the old SLR and compact camera and looking to increase your picture quality.
- I have had the k-50 and was pleased with it. the image quality is great, dynamic range good, video adequate, lenses good.
Canon EOS 70D Digital SLR Camera with 18-135mm STM Lens
- The 70D isn't bad at high ISOs so even shooting at night, there's not that much noise.
- The noise reduction at higher ISOs is amazing, and I don't start to see any sign of noise until ISO 6400. At ISO 12,800, the noise is very manageable in Lightroom post-processing.
- This is an amazing camera. Very well under low light, so much less noise at higher ISOs than my old t1i.
- The low light performance is fantastic with the noise levels almost unnoticeable even at ISO 6400.
- Not as great with low light as other cameras. This camera caps off at ISO 6400. But realistically you wanna be at 800, 1600 max if you are good with seeing some noise.

What customers say about "Display"
Pentax K-50 16MP Digital SLR Camera Kit with DA L 18-55mm WR f3.5-5.6 Lens (Black)
- I especially like the fact that there are both a front and back thumb-dials, and both LED live-view screen and a 100%-aspect viewfinder.
- The screen is plenty bright and clear for most angles, even though it doesn’t articulate.
- The screen is bright enough for viewing under sunlight and an intuitive menu.
- The LED is fixed, so you can’t flip it upwards or outwards for self-portraits or group shots. And it’s not a touchscreen.
- Doesn't have a movable view screen, which can be kind of annoying when it's attached to the copy stand at a weird angle
Canon EOS 70D Digital SLR Camera with 18-135mm STM Lens
- I love the touchscreen on this camera. It's surprisingly accurate, responsive, and fluid. For previewing pictures, it recognizes pinch and zoom and swipe gestures.
- The live screen is awesome, it will display any lens tweaks and show you your final product in real time!
- The touch screen is very much like a smart phone. Fairly smooth scrolling with high resolution display.
- The focus is always spot on and you can even adjust the focus point by touching the touch screen to a certain point.
- For me it was not expected that I would not be able to view photographs in direct sunlight. This is unrealistic to do in strong sunshine.

What customers say about "Features"
Pentax K-50 16MP Digital SLR Camera Kit with DA L 18-55mm WR f3.5-5.6 Lens (Black)
- Whatever functional features I’ve used thus far (bulb mode, bracketing, ISO priority mode, in-camera Image Stabilization) all work much as expected.
- The menus are arranged logically and are easy to read even for children.
- The weather resistant fittings mean I don’t have to sweat it when taking it out in the rain or snow.
- The response on auto focus is quick - the menus intuitive with bracketing options and dials really comfortable so you don't have to take your eye out of the lens viewer.
- The water-resistant is unbeatable in it's class or even higher class competitors. Highly recommended to buy it.
Canon EOS 70D Digital SLR Camera with 18-135mm STM Lens
- I really liked it as there was no shutter lag and burst speeds help get the action.
- My photos are sharper, shutter is very smooth and it is physically slightly smaller and lighter than the 40D.
- The camera is very fast (up to 1/8000 shutter speed and a very fast consecutive photo drive) and I like the touch screen and how you can flip the touch screen out and change the angle.
- White balance is amazing, and my favorite feature from the film days is multiple exposure.
- The only thing I'd like to see is giving the white balance its own button. Which is not here which complicates the setup.

What customers say about "Connectivity"
Pentax K-50 16MP Digital SLR Camera Kit with DA L 18-55mm WR f3.5-5.6 Lens (Black)
- USB is pretty fast on this camera , much faster than on my previous camera.
- A lightweight camera with a stunning screen, you can use it in the sun, all the details are perfectly made including the ports.
- The camera includes many functions, a clear display, a comfortable size, an SD card slot and much more.
- Unfortunately, I noticed that the SD card was stuck in the slot, which infuriated me.
- Many people noticed that it can be difficult to remove a SD card from the slot; it seems to stick. I also ran into this problem.
Canon EOS 70D Digital SLR Camera with 18-135mm STM Lens
- The WiFi is simple and easy. With the iPad app, and rarely needing post processing, I've easily connected my iPad to the camera and emailed RAW photos off.
- It's been great and connects quite quickly when WiFi is enabled.
- If you're out in the field without Internet, you can set the camera up to act as a WiFi access point to preview or transfer photos to your smartphone or tablet.
- This is an awesome first camera. Easy to use, cannon connect app is very self explanatory. Would recommend to anyone looking to jump into the dslr world.
- Connecting the camera to the wifi is very challening, however once its done its easy there forward.
