It's slightly bigger than my previous model, but it's not a problem. It's easy to set up.
It is light and compact; histogram is live and indicates exposure as exposure adjustments are made.
Bought this camera as an upgrade to my well used a37. The bigger body is far more comfortable to hold having big hands. The AF is very responsive and works well even in low light levels.
A great camera for those looking to take a step up from their phone or point and click cameras. Easy to learn, great picture quality, lightweight and all at a reasonable price.
Disappointed with the weight and bulk and very disappointed that I can't use RAW on my Adobe Elements.

The default Sony saturation of the colors is gorgeous. For a DSLR, this is a very compact and light weight package.
The camera feel good in the hand and as for size and weight, the camera feel wonderful.
The A58 is slightly smaller (actually shorter) and lighter than my previous camera and i like it.
Great images, great color rendition, smooth flawless operation in a package that is relatively light in weight compared to other DSLRs.
Feels really good in the hand, perfect size and the location for the Movie button is in the most perfect spot possible.

I have only had it for a week so am still learning. I upgraded from a sony A350. The A68 photos are a much better quality.
A little fiddly but full of great features that helps take great photos that is more important.
Still learning how to use this full-featured camera. So far, have taken excellent photographs with little effort to fully control camera settings.
I'm very impressed with image quality, so clear and amazing colors. Highly recommended.
The image quality is superb in both pictures and video, i can do really great crops with the 24mp resolution and not loose quality when uploading to instagram and social media.

The photos that I got were amazing. The images from the a58 were on average light-years ahead of the XE-1 in terms of sharpness and clarity.
The A58 is a very solid performer. This is the kind of camera that makes you excited to take photographs because photos are amazing.
Really long battery life even with extreme low temperatures, great video and photo quality.
I am thrilled with the image quality of this camera, as well as the operating convenience.
I have compared these images with Canon and other cameras. Its has the best image quality I have used.

Love the top display. I wasn't too sure about the EVF and screen resolutions but they are fine. Again the body size, but it's really good to hold.
I bought a month ago and I love it, this camera I so great. Really clear display.
I had a sony nex before i bought the a68 and i love it great features, high quality display and great battery life.
I bought 3 weeks ago and I made in my holidays a great pics and videos, that was easy to make with that display. So i am really happy to bought it.
I found the images very sharp and detailel as well as display. Very happy to have such a great camera.

Thanks to translucent mirror technology it has constant live view which is a big plus and something you usually don't find in cameras with a sensor this large.
My favorite feature about this camera is the adjustable screen. I have used it multiple times when trying to shoot difficult shots.
The screen tilts up or down which I find very helpful and because using the LCD doesn't slow the autofocus as it does on other DSLR's, shooting from the waist is very easy.
The LCD screen does tilt up and down a bit, but they should have made it fold out and swivel like many others.
LCD screen does not turn all the way around to fold face-down into the back of the camera (a minor down-side).

Superb autofocus, incredibly versatile and full of features such as lens micro adjust.
Very quiet shutter. Nice information panel. Setting knob lock is very good to prevent accidental movement. A great camera after my trusty A550.
I bought it a week ago it some has great features brilliant for people starting out and trying to understand more about cameras and there techniques.
I acquired this camera about two weeks ago and up to now I am quiet impressed for the ease of use and picture quality, the menu's are well designed and quiet easy to get round.
The functions and set up are simple and clear to use, and within a couple of hours, I had my settings to my liking, and programed into memory number one.

The controls and buttons are plentiful and generally logical. The menu's are very good and very workable.
There are some features I wished the camera had but didn't expect them at this price point.
This has to be one of the best camera's I've ever used. its only been a few days - but the features are so easy to use.
Very pleased with the Sony a58. It's got lots of advanced features and works equally well has a point and shoot or for more experienced photographers, it has lots of creative features.
We just got done with a family trip and we were very pleased with all of the settings and picture effects. It is a great camera!

Easy to use, bright screen and great features, fast usb port, beautiful design.
The camera body is made very durable, the quality of all parts is excellent, even the SD card slot looks good.
I already managed to make a bunch of photos, all of them are stored on my SD card. This card works well and does not cause problems.
I was very pleased with this camera. Since yesterday, the usb port has stopped working. Although I used it very carefully.
SD card is not stable, very often my camera does not recognize the card. It makes me so angry!

It seemed to me that the USB became faster compared to the 57 model.
More than a hundred photos have already accumulated on the SD card, and I sent them via my USB to my laptop.
Fast USB allows me to upload a bunch of photos to PC very quickly. Wonderful quality.
It was a couple of times when the SD card stuck in the slot, although I still did not understand why.
The SD card stopped working, bought a new one, and the same thing. It turned out I had a bad SD card slot
