The size isn't overbearing. It's a great camera to carry around when it comes to stamina.
Overall the body is so good, light weight, lot of features, and the image quality of the kit lens is excellent.
The weight is comparable to the 7d and other amateur to pro cameras. A good camera bag is a good idea when carrying it around on trips as your neck will thank you.
Hands get tired quickly if you carry it in your hands. Therefore, you will need a bag because it is heavy.
This is a bulky and heavy camera. Consider getting a high quality "sling camera strap".

Everything about the camera is great, so easy to use, light and well made.
The camera is lighter than friends Nikons and Canons which is superb after a long day shooting.
The camera is sturdy and light and the range of lenses available is excellent. Could well be the last camera I ever buy.
I bought this camera a couple months ago. Although bigger than my previous camera (Sony a200), it is not heavy at all
Just started using this camera and it has fantastic control and behaves like a classic DSLR. Though heavy (I have the extra grip/battery pack).

Auto ISO does this crazy cool thing where it takes snaps multiple photos in a fraction of a second, then combines them into a single, low-light, low grain picture.
The 12 frame burst shooting is great! And it can even manage to keep up with focus.
This is the best camera on the market short of a full frame. It will focus in extreme low light.
The images become noisy above ISO800, but that's the price for semi-transparent mirror, which allows 12fps and other advantages.
Low ISO pics are wonderful with high detail and great color.Conversely, shooting low light pics at ISO 3200 or above is just a mess - JPGs at this sensitivity were almost unusable.

I have two a99 and they are impressive in both the quality of picture and use.
The a-99 come with so many additional functions and the crispness of the images are amazing.
This camera will give me so so much more from my photographs and brought back my passion for photography with the a99 takes it all to a brand new higher level - brilliant.
Thank you Sony for reigniting my passion for photography, it wouldn't have happened without you! Amazing photos.
Camera with very good features and performance. Very good dynamic range, but too much noise for FF camera. AF could be more accurate in low light.

Very true to life colors and displays all the info on the shot that you are going to take just fine.
The most critical choices appear both on the large display and on the viewfinder. I can quickly choose metering and autofocus points, as well as exposure parameters, without taking my eye off the subject.
While looking into viewfinder the screen gets lighter and darker as you adjust each wheel.
Tilt-able screen - very convenient is some cases, e.g. if you want to take portraits without people becoming unnatural due to a photographer peering on them.
The screen is a cute idea, but it seems flimsy. Not sure how it will hold-up over time.

The articulated screen itself means that I can take photographs that I wouldn't have been possible without the A99.
I'm so impressed with it, the quality of the images, bright screen and its features are great.
The colours captured and the clarity of screen are a big step up from the A77.
So far it is fantastic, the picture quality and screen are incredible. I havent done any movies yet but I expect they will be equally as good.
The sony a99 is the best full frame i've ever had, battery life, screen and picture quality are outstanding.

You control aperture and speed with two separate rings and Iso right there with your fingers easily learning where to go.
The ISO button is just below the shutter button so u can adjust easily again seeing the screen change until it looks right.
Does decent panorama shots without the need for photoshop.
It's got panorama and pseudo 3D and pseudo tilt-shift, but I like to make those choices for myself.
Shutter click is louder than expected. This makes it very difficult to work in the fresh air. Especially when everyone looks at you after each frame.

Easy to use, top quality images, good looking and a nice feel when in use. Controls are easy to use and quick to adjust.
I have only had the camera for a couple of weeks so still finding my way around the new functions. But so far so good.
Superb camera is solidly built, enough dedicated buttons to help but not too many that its confusing. Menus are pretty well set out, electronic viewfinder is superb!
Built in quality seems to be very good. Adjusting to menu options and buttons order is easy. It is very useful option to assign certain function to a few buttons.
I try to operate with manual controls and find that these are located nicely so that they are easy controlled whilst looking through the viewfinder.

Quick transfer of all photos and videos via USB cable to my computer.
The HDMI cable allows me to output high quality images to my TV screen.
The connectors look durable. I am sure that they will last a long time. Also they work great and have an excellent connection to my computer.
Cannot plug the HDMI into a 720p display, 1080p only.
The in-camera microphone for video recording is, as expected, just about unusable.

Having 2 card slots is great. I'm not completely confused by the fact that my free memory may suddenly run out.
Great camera, which is equipped with many modes and functions, and also has 2 SD card slots.
Today I decided to transfer photos via USB to a computer and I was surprised how fast I was able to do it.
An amazing camera that is made very strong and the design is very beautiful, the ports seem to be of high quality, the pictures are elegant.
I bought it a week ago and I am very happy and pleased with this purchase, the photos are simply amazing, it is also convenient to have 2 slots for a SD card.
