About the Product
The award-winning Audioengine 2 speakers just got better. With a built-in digital-to-analog converter (DAC), the Audioengine 2+ allows you to send high-quality digital audio direct from your computer’s USB port. We’ve also added an output to connect a subwoofer and you can even go wireless with the optional Audioengine W3 adapter. The Audioengine 2+ is a great introduction to high-quality audio and the perfect upgrade for your computer or phone and tablet.
Five-speaker systems are great for home theater—but they’re not so sensible for your laptop or PC entertainment. That’s why we developed Companion® 5 speakers. They’re designed for 5.1-encoded music, games and movies, using just two desktop speakers and a hideaway Acoustimass module . You’ll hear multichannel sound in a way that seems to surround you—without the clutter of five speakers. And setup is easy, with a single USB connection to your computer.

What customers say about "Size & Weight"
Audioengine A2+ Black
- Speakers have some weight to them and I was just hoping that they sounded as good as they were shipped
- They are a nice small size that makes them great for computer speakers.
- A2+ are decent speakers, especially for their size.
- They are a fantastic size that fits on my desk without taking up too much space, and they look great
Bose Companion 5 Multimedia Speaker System – Graphite/Silver
- This sound system, especially for the size, is unbelievably fantastic.
- The sound that comes from these small stylish speakers is wonderful for the size and they look incredible.
- The speakers have a nice weight to them but are not at all bulky.
- Bass is excellent for its size(enough for the system considering that its only 2 speakers)
- The weighted control pod with a non-slip material on the bottom provides great tactile feel and ease of control.
- The amount of metal and weight to them proved misleading, sadly.

What customers say about "Audio"
Audioengine A2+ Black
- Boom!!! My computer configured them and I went to my music collection and started to listen. Huge sound from these speakers, crisp and clean. I bought these to replace a sub-woofer system and I am not sorry.
- Exceptional sound quality and volume for such a compact size
- They sound absolutely fantastic, it's the first speaker to really blow me away in terms of the sound. It's a very balanced, full, rich sound. I don't even need a sub, because I mainly listen to classical which isn't as bass heavy.
- I was expecting it to blow me away looking at the build quality, however, they sounded average.
- For the money they don't sound that great. They are incredibly "tinny" and full of mid range, even when trying to EQ them with an external equalizer they still just sound off.
Bose Companion 5 Multimedia Speaker System – Graphite/Silver
- Coming to higher frequencies, the speakers are relatively OK.
- I can hear every single snare and bass frequency.
- Subwoofer provides excellent very low frequency sounds.
- The audio imaging is remarkable, with separation of vocals, strings, woodwind, percussion, etc.
- The ultra high frequency response is way too loud for me.
- The volume adjustment is a little too sensitive as well, so be careful with it.

What customers say about "Features"
Audioengine A2+ Black
- Build in USB DAC, excellent build quality, beautiful gloss white exterior, clear highs, auto off/standby feature
- Easy to connect, USB goes to PC, power, and then each speaker connects to the other.
- Very versatile; high quality construction; multiple quality inputs w/ variable output for sub or additional devices
- Rear volume knob (it keeps the front looking clean, but a front knob would have been more user friendly)
- Hissing noise when I tried to connect more than one device (PC via USB and PS4/Mobile via AUX) at the same time. Despite that it has 3 always active input (RCA, aux, and USB)
- The volume controller location is not comfortable (yet it fit the clean design)
Bose Companion 5 Multimedia Speaker System – Graphite/Silver
- These are defintely some powerful speakers.
- The sound is bright and colorful with a lot of power behind it.
- Awesome clarity, powerful enough for a party!!
- The wired remote feature is rather useful as well and easy to get use to.
- Wish there were more inputs for the 3.5mm jack, but I've bought a 3.5mm jack splitter so I can add additional sources.
