About the Product
The BISTRO Burr Grinder crushes beans between stainless steel conical burrs rather than slicing them which preserves bean’s intrinsic flavor and aroma and provides a consistent grind; no sharpening required.
The Encore is lauded by coffee experts as THE go-to entry level grinder for those brewing coffee at home. The Encore gives a great grind for drip/manual brew and also grinds fine enough for espresso.

What customers say about "Key Specs"
BODUM Bistro Electric Electronic Coffee Grinder with Continuously Adjustable Grind
- I liked the grind settings.
- I love the settings on the hopper, very spot on and I love how easy it is to clean.
- love being able to set the grind to our desired preference, it's really upped the level of coffee/espresso brewing in the house, coming off of a series of standard coffee grinders.
- Quality grind, low noise, very little mess, and reasonable capacity!
- Relatively small capacity per grind
- The fine settings doesn't grind too fine. Might be good for drip and french press, but not the best option for espressos.
- This grinder did ok, but on the fine setting it wasn't quite fine enough.
Baratza Encore Conical Burr Coffee Grinder
- Well built. Grinds well. Not terribly loud.
- Grinds beans pretty fast. Coffee has been tasting fantastic since buying this.
- It is reasonably quiet, produces a uniform grind, and the ground coffee empties easily out of the container.
- Good grinder in general. A bit messy, but works reliably.
- The negatives of the Encore are how messy it is and the noise level. This thing loves to spit out fragments of beans after every grind.

What customers say about "Features"
BODUM Bistro Electric Electronic Coffee Grinder with Continuously Adjustable Grind
- I love that I can grind only as much as I need by setting the timer, so every morning I have freshly ground beans.
- The Bodum has a "timer" function rather than being based on how many cups are being ground for, but the concept is pretty much the same.
- It's easy to throw the jar and cap into the dishwasher
- In-machine cord storage
- The cord winds up inside if it's close to an outlet.
- The product doesn't say "BPA free" anywhere, so it does have BPA.
- If the flask lid is destroyed, ours accidentally melted in the bottom of the dishwasher!) it can NOT be replaced
- Timer stopped working correctly after a couple months.
Baratza Encore Conical Burr Coffee Grinder
- Good entry level grinder with relatively few fines.
- Easy to use and dial in, nice big rotating on/off switch on the side.
- Very quick motor can take down 40g of coffee in less than 20 seconds.
- Cleaning it is a nightmare especially if it clogs part way through the grind.
- The problem was the machine stopped grinding after about a month because the discharge chute was jammed.
