- Blu-ray, which is clearly winning the format war. PS3 games can come on Blu-ray, the XBox 360 can't ship games on the optional HD-DVD player.
- That all changed when my HDTV came in. The PS3 can upscale your DVDs far better than most up-conversion players, but when I put the blu-ray version of The Warriors in, MAN was I blown away.
- Great entertainment system, wifi built-in, blu-ray, media flash card reader, powerful game console, 1080p, backward compatible, no disc tray and sixaxis.
- Breathtaking next-gen graphics. The Grand Turismo High Definition demo shows off the power of the PS3. When playing GTHD, you almost forget that you are watching a computer animation - the cars and track look entirely lifelike (the spectators not so much).
- Blu-ray! Some people see this as a major downfall. It's forcing you to support a disc format. I disagree. The PS3 games are on blu-ray discs. Blu-ray is essential to the PS3.
- I love this its good for video games and dvd's along with netflix I would recommend it to my friends for sure
- Anyway, there's so many good PS3 games on the market, plus this thing plays DVDs and Blu-rays, of course. It's all I use to watch DVDs and Blu-rays. Gotta have the Bluetooth PS3 remote to enjoy fully.
- This is so much better than PlayStation 2. The graphics are amazing on this system. This is a must have.
- The graphics on the Playstation-specific games are absolutely unbelievable! I like that there are more story-based games. I would definitely recommend this system.
- Graphics are great! Opens differently than normal which is cool! I love it! Would definately recommend to a friend! Awesome
- This PS3 comes with an upgradable 60 HDD. There are many options to upgrade your space should you want more, and it shouldn't cost you more than 100 dollars. Just ask any PS3 gamer that knows his stuff. Blu-Ray, in my humble opinion, I wasn't interested at first. I didn't see the point in it.
- Extensive hard drive space. There is no need to skimp on demos or downloads.
- If you find yourself running out of hard drive space, you can easily upgrade it to a 500GB (they are $54.99 on amazon brand new) to give you plenty of storage room for all your games and movies.
- So if you love the newest in new gaming experiences and other multi-media features(also storage of music, photos and videos on the hard drive),then this is a great choice. And if you cherish your PS2 collection and want a PS3,then the 60GB is the best way to go.
- USB mass storage is my bridge from the computer. First you can attach a USB card reader from your PC and will view pic, play mp3 and some movie files.
- Glad Sony made a slim model that had no HDD, so that I could simply add one I already had. I put in a 256 SSD and this thing screams.
- Got this for my boyfriend to play PS3 games, however, I did not realize that 12 GB of storage is nowhere near enough to play multiple video games on the console. However, you can by an 500GB hard drive up grade from playstation which installs very easily!
- Comes with no hard drive and 12GB of on board system memory. Requires a caddy sold separately if you want to install a drive.
- Bought for my kids for Christmas in 2015 the want ps3 Christmas they are still playing on it only bad thing not alot storage space
- Also, 12GB flash for storage is an absolute joke. If you add in a new HDD, make sure you get a mounting bracket to go with it-the system does not come with one natively.
- HDMI 1.3, supports future video formats but more practically supports the new sound formats. HDMI 1.3 is extremely rare in today's equipment.
- With 4 USB port and media card reader, you can connect you SD, Memory Stick or your Compact flash card to the ps3, in which you can transfer data to or from ps3. You can connect you ipod and copy any MP3s to the ps3.
- Hassle free wireless networking. There have been some drops - but for the most part, the WiFi keeps us downloading and gaming as much as we need it. It provides a web interface and easy access to the PlayStation store and other PS3 users.
- Peripheral possibilities. With four USB hookups in the front, the possibilities are many - including a PS3 EyeToy and SingStar game.
- The PS3 is a great entertainment system. With 60GB of storage, you can pretty much store any kind of media into it. Did I mention it can play games?
- So far it seems to work just fine, replacement cable is charging the controller so no issues there, it connects to the network over wire or wireless.
- Easy to set up, though it did take me a while to figure out how to connect it up to the wifi.
- Easy to set up, though it did take me a while to figure out how to connect it up to the wifi.
- It has 2 easily accessible USB ports for 2 charging cords to plug into you ps3 controller.
- Red, yellow, white connectors don't work. Only HDMI connection works.
- This console was a bit blurry. I thought it was my TV but my DVD player and Apple TV seem to connect fine and the quality is fine. My guess is this console.
- System has many features, music, photo, a web browser, online chat just to name a few
- Wireless controller. very easy to adapt to if you played the PS2 because it is simply the exact same thing.
- Music player, the music sounds amazing and pure. It sounds like you're in a concert.
- The controller is much lighter than the Xbox 360. However, I noticed the instructions say it will carry less charge over time.
- Surfing the web with the PS3 WiFi connection is an exercise in frustration. I don't plan to surf the web on the PS3 anyway and this is more of an annoyance than anything else because the network and PlayStation store run quite smoothly on WiFi.
- The game joystick that comes with the system will function as a remote control, but it’s a bit wonky for this purpose. Also, I understand that the PS3 uses a decent amount of electricity so you probably want to turn it off when not in use.
- This ps3 slim is great I got it for 119 and the controller didn't work but I had bought another one, the system it self works gread only little scratches (as expected) but over all iv had it for 3 days now and its working great
- Comes with an off brand controller that doesn't allow you to use it while it charges. Definitely buy an actual Sony controller when purchasing this system. Also, it comes with an HDMI cord ONLY and not the standard audio/video cables.
- Another amazing feature is that the ps3 won't overheat or get to hot while being used for a long period of time. Which is a great thing for those serious gamers out there.
- I don't like this system, it lacks features that the ps4 has and doesn't allow me to use HD to the fullest.
