- I have used B&D's trimmer line and have also refilled the spools with .65mm line. Both have worked well.
- The line spool supplied easily lengthens the line as it is used.
- You can adjust the length of the shaft which makes it good for both tall and shorter users.
- I'm rather short and like the fact that I can adjust the length of the shaft of the weed-eater.
- My only complaint would be the shaft could extend a bit more for taller people. I am 6'2" and it's not uncomfortable, but would be better if it did extend a bit more.
- The shaft retracts into itself for a smaller footprint.
- Telescoping shaft allows you to collapse the overall length of the device, which is helpful for storage, or if you are short.
- Rotating cutting head allows you to hold the device in a natural way regardless of whether you're edging horizontally or vertically.
- The auto feeder does not feed until the line gets to about 2 - 3" long and then feeds to full length. So you have to keep compensating for this while edging.
- Line sometimes gets sucked back into trimmer head
- Trimmer works fine. It's light weight and simple to use.
- Love the trimmer! It is light weight but really does the job.
- The weight is good, and compared to the gas trimmer I have been using is a joy to use.
- The trimmer and blower are both very light weight and with an excellent balance.
- It's light, seriously light. Yes, it gets heavy, too, after a couple hours of weed whacking everything, but definitely not like the gas powered one.
- Light weight - PERFECT for even a small framed woman to handle.
- Very lightweight and decent balance for me (i'm 6 ft tall) , i feel like it's a bit short for me and I have to lean forward but the light weight makes it easy on my back. Less smell, noise & vibration compared to a gas trimmer.
- I'm average height (5"8) which is fine with this trimmer. But even adjusting its length, I think people who are taller than 6 feet tall may find it difficult to use because they'd have to bend over while using it in order for the trimmer to reach the ground.
- Battery is also usable in a variety of other tools.
- The blower was great too, super light weight!
- I love it has a telescopic shaft and adjustable handle. I'm 6'2" and my wife is 5"1", I can now very quickly adjust the trimmer for my wife to use without her complaining that it is to long.
- Another nice feature is the speed control and ability to lengthen or shorten the unit to match one's height easily with no tools.
- The blower is adequate for blowing out garages and debris on flat surfaces.
- My one complaint is that the trimmer edge is not adjustable like the old 18v model. It doesn't let enough line out to do a good job edging.
- The blower is laughably under powered. I don't even bother with that thing anymore.
- Adjusting the intensity of the 'whacking' is simple, just a twist of the dial. Easy for grass (I mean the thick stuff that hasn't seen a mower in two years) and brush.
- The battery has a meter on it that tells you how much life (approximately) is remaining.
- I like the speed adjustment dial, nice touch to save battery life. Trust me, #1 is all you need for basic grass after mowing.
- Easily turns into an edger and does a great job.
- To engage the motor, you have to squeeze the handle and push a button. It would be more convenient if you only had to squeeze the handle. Though in its defense, the push button is conveniently placed right where you'd place your thumb.
- Dirt seems to get into the shaft and makes it harder to shorten the length.
- Not very easy to clean as you are not supposed to hose it down, you can use water but very gently and prevent water from getting into the motor.
- Super convenient to pick up, use, and put away compared to any gas or corded alternatives.
- Battery lasts long enough for me to take care of the front and backyard on one charge.
- Battery has a power meter built in so you can quickly gauge your time remaining.
- One battery is enough for me to edge along my driveway and sidewalk plus blow the clippings away.
- The battery power last plenty for me. Probably 20 mins or more of continuous use.
- The battery even at 2000 mAh is just not good enough. I have a fairly large yard about a third of an acre plus I'm a corner lot so I have tons of sidewalk to trim and trying to get all the way around the house and through the sidewalk, it just doesn't cut it.
- Replacement batteries are obscenely expensive and as far as I can tell none of the third party stuff will work which means when the battery no longer works, you're buying a whole new setup.
- The battery charges relatively fast - about on hour. And with that meter, you can see how much more it needs to charge (approximately).
- Powerful for battery operated unit.
- Lasts 15 minutes on full charge. Battery recharges quickly.
- Battery fully charges in around an hour and from what I understand you can just leave it on the charger until needed.
- The battery life is less than desired, but I knew that going in. You have between 20 and 30 minutes of life out of each battery.
