- This phone is awesome. I went from a Galaxy S8 to the S8 Active. I couldn't be happier. First off, no more curved screen. I hate the curved screen. I am very rough so I need a tough case like an otterbox to cover the screen and back.
- The displace can scale from 1480x720, 2220x1080 and 2960x1440. I use 2220x1080, and the great detail for any application, videos, game, regular use, is way more for me than needed to satisfy my detail crave.
- The screen is awesome, colors are vivid and true. No issues during calls so far. Now there are 2 things about the S8 Active I don't care for.
- The phone overall is great. But the screen scratches easily.
- Edge display is easier on the eyes and phone overall feels more intuitive.
- Colors are amazing, camera is great, thin and true edge-to-edge display, fast.
- The AMOLED edge to edge display is absolutely brilliant and with 16 million colors and 4.1 million pixels, colors pop and the images are phenomenally sharp.
- The edge program is a great option for apps that are frequently accessed but you don't want taking up valuable screen real estate.
- The infinity display has no equal. Excellent viewing experience. I'm discovering new things I like, every day! Awesome device!
- I am so happy with the sturdy build of this phone. It's fast and takes great pictures.
- I'm on my 3rd active and as always, I love it. Great feel, great design and great performance.
- A little heavy, but great battery life, processes fast (up to now) and plenty of memory.
- Performance is great, everything on the phone opens and operates quickly. I put a tempered glass protector on it right away due to reviewers stating that the screen can scratch easily.
- Great processors, very good for multitasking. Plenty on memory for all your storage needs.
- With the new processor, it is able to handle any game that I throw at it
- The processor works smoothly and after a month use I can say the phone Never hanged once.
- It keeps a wide variety of apps open in the background that use a low amount of ram for the users convenience.
- The camera is awesome, the screen is very bright and detailed. The phone runs super fast. I owned this phone about 3 months now and I couldn't be happier.
- The Cameras are great. The Back camera can go up to 12 mega pixels with a 4:3 aspect ratio, and 9.1 mega pixels with a 9:1 aspect ratio. The front facing camera can go up to 8 mega pixels with an aspect ratio of 4:3.
- The battery life is fantastic, it runs very fast, and the camera takes excellent pics!
- Also wish they would of upgraded the camera, but again its still the best camera on the market.
- The camera takes great pictures and love the ability to use manual functions to take more professional pics
- The cameras on this phone are both amazing. Makes great photos!
- Great camera features shows clear focus is best I have seen just a handsome phone
- Camera supports pictures with great clarity....just position and click.
- This phone is very good and easy to use. The only downside is the camera, I personally still prefer the photos taken with Iphone camera.
- The phone is heavy, but I mean that in a good way, you can just feel that it's durable. I highly recommend the active for people who are out and about.
- Connectivity is standard but still good on this phone. You have a SIM/micro SD card slot in a form like the apple phones, a USB C port and something Apple phones lack, a 3.5 mm audio slot. Connecting to a PC is much easier compared to my old phone.
- The Bixby button should be able to be remapped to whatever I like, kinda like the S7 Active.
- I really enjoy having a phone that doesn't require a cheap case. Cases take away the looks of any phone. I only wish I could remove the clock from the Lock Screen.
- Comes with a nice variety of accessories, including adapters for charging in case you want to use a micro-USB charger or want to hook up a USB cable accessory for any reason.
- Wide range of settings for customizing your user experience and security. (Even more than the usual for an Android/Samsung device)
- I haven't put the water resistance to the test, but I'm assuming it's as good as the last model. Glad it's there.
- All my old Apps transferred without issue using the Samsung program
- Cool new features (facial recognition, iris scanner, edge menu, etc)
- I would rather have defined Home, and Back keys
- USB cable changed to the Type C - overall a better cable, but had to buy a bunch of new cables. Good for the long term
- The battery life is heavy duty. I used to kill my S8 battery by lunch time but this one can go well past dinner with great battery life.
- The battery life of the S8 Active is nothing short of great. It has a 4000 mAh battery that even with playing games and going on youtube for hours, I still have more than 50% battery within 12 hours.
- The battery life is incredible, better than most phones for sure. You can easily make it through a day or more without charging.
- I love this phone battery life is the best out there fast charging
- The battery life is amazing, video and sound quality are better than my old iPhone. This is a must buy.
- The battery is general is much better than the Samsung s7
- 2 days and still have 20% battery remaining. Big improvement over the S5 that had. Hope this phone last as long.
- I go 2 days before it needs to be put on a charger (I usually plug it in around 60% battery or so) and it's fully recharged in less than 2 hours. The battery life is phenomenal
- Phone is superfast,multi-tasking,great battery life. Charging once in 3 days. Superb battery life.
