- I've never sewn a stitch in my life prior to receiving this. Just reading the instructions step by step, I was able to fill the bobbins, thread the machine and sew! Sometimes I amaze myself LOL as I'm a 59 year old male.
- I'll be using my machine for denim hand bags and wallets. And the stitch functions will be a nice addition to them.
- The machine sews well on basic fabrics that are medium to light weight. It works well with a walking foot. The stitches are uniform and tight.
- The stitching is very even. The only complaint I have is that the needle is set back far and I sometimes have trouble getting my fingers in there to thread.
- It is strong enough to stitch through leather guitar straps, but still quiet. It always gets the job done and it so easy to use.
- Very fast compare to most manual machines, and definitely faster than any electronic. Unless you want to pay for a real commercial machine running into the thousands.
- For the speed this machine hardly moves, yes it's a little loud, but you can't have a work horse that's going to be quite. It runs about the same speed of my kenmore, but the kenmore vibrated real bad and it was even louder.
- The bobbin loading and winding is easy and fast. The Spool threading and needle threading is easy to use and simple. The machine is solid and heavy.
- To clean under the bobbin holder you have to remove the 2 screws holding the plate down, then 2 screws that hold the bobbin down.
- Very picky about the bobbin. It seems I can ONLY use the ones it came with, as with any other bobbins I have purchased cause tangle in the sew.
- It does not have a self thread cutting feature like a different Brother model has. The 'needle down" position takes practice. Over all a great value.
- Very good machine, excellent features and operation.
- Very nice machine with lots of features and easy to figure out (so far) , even after not using a sewing machine for over 20 years.
- I am pleased with all the different features. Arrived very fast!
- The light on this machine is sub standard. I'm not sure if it's LED or not but the light quality us terrible. I've put it by a window to help.
- The movement of the foot "walking" seem solid. Stitches are even, once I figured out how to set it to where I wanted it for basic sewing.
- Nice feature is the see through bobbin window. You can gauge how much thread you have left on the bobbin instead of having to guess. That is a bonus. It is easy to fill a bobbin, too.
- Seams are straight and snug, and everything works the way it should. The features are terrific and controls are easy to use. Just need to make some kind of base for the pedal so it won't scoot around on the floor.
- I love the button feature and the top view bobbin. I do have to say that the foot pedal is a bit flimsy and occasionally there is a slight delay with the motor start up but overall I am very happy with it.
- This machine has the capability to change needle positions and lower the dog feed. These are very important features to me. It has 23 stitches, which I feel are more than enough.
- The light is terrible, but with a overhead light it's okay.
- No instructions on how or where to oil the machine, or any maintenance.I try to clean my machine at least every 8 hrs due to the amount of lint that gets in the machine.
