- I have large hands but because of it's size and matte finish the Hercules is much easier for me to hold and use than the smaller Victorinox pocket knives.
- For my hands, this size fits better than the standard swiss army knife. I have several of the normal ones too but this is the Swiss Army knife I take on trips. Going to get one for each of my boys as they move through scouting.
- The larger size of the Hercules has proven less annoying than I feared, so I am very happy with it and will likely stick with this model for the next forty years...
- Good size. Perfect for outdoor use. It has everything you need.
- The larger size of tools such as the scissors makes this knife much more useful and easier to use. I get more leverage from the longer scissor handles when cutting out something heavier than paper. The larger size also makes for a better handle when using the knife blade.
- The WC fits my hands better and is more ergonomic than the SC or Lman-Wave. On a daily basis, it fits into the tasks that seem to find me.
- I like the weight and feel of this knife. No glossy scales means no sorrowful feelings when it gets all scratched up.
- Love it, though could use a magnifying lens. I have large hands and I like the feel and size. Locking blade is a must on a knife this big.
- The greater size of things like the scissors or pliers make them stronger. This might be too big (wide) if you have small hands so be careful if you buy it. It fits me perfectly and I love it.
- It is about the size of a Leatherman Wave. The name says it all. Work Champ. The closest thing to a standard multi tool, without going Multi tool. Great size for serious work.
- This knife (multitool) is typical Victorinox high quality. But be warned, it's not for everybody's pocket because of it's substantial weight. It would be a good idea to order a pouch as well for belt carry just in case.
- Knife is excellent spearpoint design, and locks in place. Unlocks easily and naturally with one hand. Still use two to close it.
- The plastic finish is a matte nylon instead of the shiny read plastic most Swiss Army owners are used to. However, I have read this is tougher and more scratch resistant.
- I do like the lock feature of the blade. That was always a downside for their products, so big improvement there. I use the Hercules almost daily, and I feel like I can get years worth of use out of it like I did my last Victorinox knife.
- The Hercules is a high-quality, large, heavy, attractive pocket knife with the perfect combination of tools for me.
- Corkscrew does not come with (but can hold) a removable small eyeglass screw, and it will not close all the way down with one in it (this is barely perceptible, and it can still be carried this way. However, IMO, the phillips on the tool negates the need for this item anyway).
- Pliers or scissors must be opened first to access phillips screwdrivers (however, this keeps the tool thinner)
- I chose it because it had the 2 saws, and wrench and scissor in one. It is hard to find all of those in once piece or Swiss Army. It is not at all flimsy;
- I wanted a model with the file, saw, pliers, scissors, Phillips, and small screwdriver that stores in the corkscrew. This has all that and two size Phillips screwdrivers. I love it. It has the silky smooth opening and closing of the Victorinox knives.
- The quality of finish is superb. With so many cheap knockoffs from China I'm glad that products of this caliber are still being made in their original countries.
- This has a blade that is big enough to handle any kind of job; and with the lock you can really get tough with it without worrying it will close on you.
- It is a little difficult to get out the pieces. The larger pieces should have large finger nail grooves. Also, I was a little disappointed when I found out that the red outsides were hollow plastic and a little darker than the picture indicates.
