- Glad i purchased this. Excellent sound quality. Improvement over my previous DAP and glad i purchased this.
- Sound quality is very good. Buttons and volume wheel orientation are good.
- Lots of storage space so you can store music videos or any kind of video for that matter as well as photos etc.
- I absolutely LOVE this product! It has all the features I want. The sound quality is amazing!
- The screen felt cheap and plastic-y. Not sure it was actually glass.
- Good display - with functions for both touch screen and hardware buttons available.
- Easy to bump the volume knob, which displays a volume curve over the album art.
- 64Gb of memory. I thought they were 32Gb, but mine was 64Gb. Nice surprise.
- Plays music at a perfect balance, and having two memory card slots means I can fit all the music I want on it.
- It could play from the internal memory or the SD1 or the SD2 but not more than one.
- The Onkyo is a nice compact unit with a screen that is easy to see indoors, not so much outdoors on a sunny day.
- Great sound, great battery life, compact, fits in pocket with phone.
- Like it so far, does everything I wanted, nice and compact, adding songs is very easy.
- This unit has some weight to it, it feels good in the hand while very easy to hold- not big nor small, it doesn't feel cheap like many others on the market.
- Beautiful build quality, snappy UI, good weight, kinda small which makes me feel that I might drop it or lose it somewhere, but its ok, i am happy.
- The unit is larger than my samsung phone, who is fine when using in the winter with large coat pockets, but may he an issue in the summer.
- The volume is also quickly accessible when in your pocket but might be an issue for tight pockets that can brush against the wheel.
- If I place it in my front pocket the sound immediately starts to break up.
- The sound is cristal clear, this is the only DAP - I know of - capable of streaming MQA Master music from Tidal.
- The sound quality of MQA albums is so clear and detailed... it is worth exploring!
- This device plays by flac files beautifully. It syncs perfectly with everything that I use.
- It seems you can skip the confusing software & just drag & drop the items to the memory card.
- The PD-S10B has such a tiny screen that it can hardly display the album name + author.... there is simply not enough screen room.
- Plays all formats, can support a large library using the appropriate sized SD cards and most importantly it sounds phenomenal.
- The biggest plus though is the ability to break the Pono 12GB storage limit. With 512 GB limit I don't have to swap out memory cards anymore.
- Plays music at a perfect balance, and having two memory card slots means I can fit all the music I want on it.
- Bluetooth support is awesome.
- Setting an external memory card into the play-able music libraries a little fussy at first, but works well after that.
Onkyo PD-S10
Onkyo DP-X1A
- Battery life not that great but good enough for maybe 5 hour max plane flight.
- The battery lasts a decent amount of time and you can place the unit in a standby mode when you are not listening.
- Battery life is great and can be on standby for a very long time.
- Battery life is a bit lacking, compared to other units.
- This product was great for the first month but after the second month the battery life has dropped to half of it's stated length.
- Battery life is good, even better on Battery Saver mode.
- For the size and weight of the device the battery could last a bit longer, but 8 hours still not that bad.
- Battery life is a bit lacking, compared to other units. I owe this to android, as well as the lack of a deep sleep (the Fiio X5 does this well, wish this was done here).
- Oh BTW, battery life is pretty atrocious. You can probably get 5-6 hours if you are using WiFi and/or apps while you listen. Do not expect this to have battery performance like a cell phone or iPad-type device.
- Love this great value. Battery life could be better but still a great product.
