- This watch is the most accurate automatic I own. I have everything from a new Rolex Datejust to a Steinhart Ocean One and the SBDC051 beats them all for consistency.
- In the week I've owned it, it keeps time accurate to +1 second per day.
- Beautiful watch, and can wear for all occasions. Big surprise is how accurate it is for an automatic, so far it’s within a sec per day.
- This Seiko SBDC051 diver watch looks great: classic shape, solid built yet not bulky, nice finish, every detail taken into consideration by the manufacturer.
- The size, built quality, weight, and the look are just stunning!
- Bezel style makes this 42.5mm watch play big on the wrist even though I'm a large six feet, 210 pounds with 7.5 inch wrist.
- You're getting the bulletproof 6R15 movement. You'll probably need to service it once every 10 years or so. Highly recommended
- The Seiko has been dead accurate – gaining just 25 seconds after 8 straight days.
- Most notably, the SPB051 boasts a 200-meter water-resistance capability thanks to a rugged screw-down back case.
- Seiko’s Caliber 6R15 powers the Prospex SPB051. The 23-jewel automatic caliber which powers most of the brand’s mid-range products is popular because of its reliability.
- By far the nicest Seiko I have purchased. The bracelet it solid, great quality.
- No jingling at all. The milled clasp is impeccable. Case, dial and bezel are as nice as $3,000-$4,000 Swiss watches.
- The fit and finish is outstanding and rivels anything on the market. Buy it, you won’t be disappointed.
- Very Nice looking, quality watch. I'm impressed. Glad to have purchased it. Feel and finish is stunning.
- This particular Seiko fulfills my need for a solid, well made watch with heritage and respect of the watch community. No compromises here.
- The build quality is on par with a 3K Omega.
- The first thing that actually caught my eye on the Prospex was…the bracelet! It looked substantial and solid – a bit like a Rolex Oyster bracelet crossed with an Omega bracelet.
- This is heavy duty. On the wrist, the Seiko bracelet feels both elegant and rugged. The brushed steel looks great and versatile.
- The gorgeous domed crystal reveals a rich matte black dial that plays nicely in the light.
- The crystal is slightly domed with an antireflective coating on the inside. There’s not much to say here other than it looks great and it should stay that way since it’s a sapphire crystal, not Seikos cheaper Hardlex Mineral.
- The size of this is perfect, has a good wrist presence without being overly large. Super satisfied with this.
- The bracelet is outstanding in terms of both esthetics and functionality.
- Nice saphire glass, shiny chapterring. Wears very comfortable, bit heavy but not too much. Lume is much better then good.
- Sapphire crystal, 6R15 movement, and one of the most comfortable bracelets I've ever worn.
- The lume is a step up from the Turtles and I was impressed with those!
- While I prefer a crown at the 4, I decided to go for the 051 for several reasons: sapphire, Diashield polish coating, open bezel style
- The day-time lume contrasting with the charcoal black dial is stunning.
- The large hands and markers look bold and luxurious and I can tell you that the lume is amazing. The whole package is really beautiful…and impressive.
- The wrist presence and feel are awesome – the bracelet is fantastic. The movement is not too sophisticated, but it is performing beyond expectations.
- The SPB051 features stainless-steel construction with Seiko’s DiaShield coating on the bracelet and case for enhanced scratch resistance.
