Very decent and honest 2-way component set. Couldn't get a better pair of 2-way component by this price.
I'm rockin' now dudes. Great midrange and fantastic highs out of these babies. The base isn't too good with these but of course we would only purchase these for a system that has a separate subwoofer amp and speakers so that is expected.
I have this 2-way component system in my front doors. This thing blast so lourd if you feed them with an amplifier.
These component speakers were just as I expected them to be. The 6.5- inch speakers complimented my system by giving me the mids I was looking for and the tweeters gave me the highs I was looking for.
These have plenty of bass for 6.5" speakers.

These are geat speakers when connected to an external amplifier. If just the head unit is powering these speakers you will be disappointed, as these are meant to be powered by amplifiers.
Very nice set of speakers. I installed these in a 2009 Chevy Tahoe that had the premium BOSE system. I figured on getting better speakers would not hurt. I tested each speaker with a multimeter to get the correct ohms rating so I could match them with the BOSE 5.1 Luxury amplifier.
These fit with a slight mounting modification in my 2006 Dodge Ram 2500 Mega Cab with the 7 speaker Infinity system. I used these with Metra 72-7901 adapters and the stock infinity amp and a Atoto A6 A62721P head unit ( I am very happy with this unit).
I have had these speakers for about a year and a half now. They are far better than the 18 year old factory speakers they replaced. If you do not add an amp, they sound pretty good off of headunit power.

I’m driving these speakers with an old Sony 55w/ ch amp, and the make decent volume. They can probably handle a hella lot more power.
Even with a low-powered factory radio (less than 25w per channel), the speakers make such a dramatic difference. Symbols, horns, violins and certain guitar notes are now audible. In fact, I've noticed an amazing amount of detail in almost all of my music. It was like getting a whole new collection.
These speakers definitely need more power to run than most stock radios can provide.
These are power hunger speakers and the extra power makes them sound great.
The rated power handling is a little optimistic I think. That amp only puts out 75 watts RMS per channel and those speakers sound like the want to distort at about 75% of that power.

The imaging and clarity are much better than stock even on my stock head unit.
With an amp, they sound very harsh and you can really tell where their weaknesses are. I have found it pretty difficult to tune my system with these speakers.
The speakers sound criistal clear even at loud volumes. And I mean really loud, like party loud!
These entry level Infinity Reference speakers play clean and frame sound beautifully.
Mid bass really came alive after sound deadening the doors even with this much power.

The tweeters just pop in place of the factory tweeters behind the factory grilles. The woofers I installed into the factory woofer baskets by cutting out the cones and magnet baskets and screwing these down on top. It all fits pretty well.
There is a +/- 3db tweeter level adjustment to get it just right.
The tweeters were extremely hot on my system, so place the crossovers where you can easily access them to make adjustments. If they are buried under a door panel, it will be a pain.
I had to break out the dremel to the OWM speakers to recommosion the spacer ring for proper woofer speaker depth. The tweeters also required a little shaving of the internal mounts to fit these guys which have a housing potted to them.
The woofers produce a very smooth and clear midrange, and the silk tweeters are clear without being harsh.

The woofers in this system are super, the tweeters are not as directionally dependant as the mounting methods would lead you to believe.
I used a small file to take away a small amount of the dash plastic near the mounting clips for a easy fit. These 3.5" speakers sound much better then stock but in my opinion, I was missing something from the front stage when I disconnected the center stock 2.5" speaker.
I used 18 ABS plastic sheet, home improvement store, for the tweeter install with the included tweeter mounting hardwear.
have this set installed in the front doors of my car. I've been using it for a couple years now and I can tell you these speakers are amazing. If they are properly installed, tweeters installed in a strategic point, and connected to a powerful amp, they will blow your mind.
Some of the other reviews discuss the ultra brightness of the speakers. That's true in part because the crossover and excellent tweeter's really do their job. But also the cone on the woofer is not paper, so comparing it with cheap factory installed paper woofers is well not on same playing field.
