- However, the Flowtron BK-15D Electronic Killer manages to kill hundreds of the vampiric dragons with literally no effort at all!
- The Lurex3 lure could probably be attached to another kind of zapper, but based on reviews, size, price, and the grade on fakespot.com, we chose the Flowtron BK-15D and are so far very happy with its performance.
- We've been running the Flowtron BK-15D for a few weeks and so far we have been very pleased with it. Our Chickens are too.
- First off, this bug zapper WORKS AWESOME!!!!! Is it clog proof like it says, NO!!!!! For the average yard it probably is but when you are killing 10-20 bugs per second
- In fact, the BK-15D does NOT kill insects while use of a different brand, Aspectec, in the same area killed dozens of flying insects. Do NOT BUY this Flowtron, 1/2 acre zapper.
- Not wanting to lather ourselves in bug spray before bed, we opted for the BK-40D zapper. Boy, are we glad we did!
- As good as the BK-40D has been in keeping mosquitoes away from my yard, and as helpful as Flowtron's tech support has been, I cannot give this product more than three stars.
- We put this Flowtron BK-40D bug zapper about 25 feet from our deck and have found it to be very effective.
- As for the BK-40D, this bad boy is awesome! Before, I never liked being outside for too long due to being pestered by bugs.
- Regarding the BK-40D. Not really sure it killed very many mosquitoes but it really did a number on moths and the like.
- The good part is that it doesn't clog with dead bugs - they just fall down. It seems to zap even the tiniest of bugs.
- I took away a star because despite the features designed to prevent bug build-up, it definitely did build up. I also didn't like the ABSURDLY short cord.
- It comes assembled, includes the "mosquito attractant" cartridge, is built well, solid, and is sturdy and the safety features they advertise are absolutely true, no birds / little fingers / squirrels etc could fit through the small grates.
- I've had other bug zappers in the past, but this is by the far the best. Also, the bugs do not collect in the grill due to how it is designed. Nice feature!
- Works well but lacks an auto-on/off feature found on many similar bug zappers.
- Easy set up, low hum not not noticeable when place 20 feet away.
- It runs fairly silently, and the bulb is super bright (so I'm sure I'm attracting all those nasty skeeters from my neighbors yard (they left their pool up over the winter/spring, and it has become a breeding ground).
- I added an outdoor photocell to the extension cord and once the sun started to drop it’s been dealing out death all night! So far so good...
- We hang this in our yard, at the end of a 50 foot extension cord -it only has a 6 inch cord, you will need an extension cord!- on a shepherd's hook.
- Cord is really short, if you don't have an outlet in your eave, order an outdoor extension cord.
