What customers say about "Key Specs"
Garmin Edge 200 GPS Enabled Bike Computer
  • Easy to use display and buttons, lightweight and compact, easy to upload files to Strava.
  • It was easy to mount on my bike. And it's easy to see while riding, even in the glaring sun, even with polarized sunglasses.
  • This GPS works great and is incredibly accurate.
  • The Edge 200 had no problem picking up the satellite signal even zipped up in the top outside pocket of his jacket.
  • It will sometimes lose touch with the satellites on a path with a canopy of trees but it mostly keeps contact.
Garmin Edge 500 Cycling GPS
  • The unit finds satellites quickly, has great battery life and, thanks to the easy handlebar mounting system, transfers between my bikes with a simple 90 degree twist.
  • The compact size of the Edge 500 is what attracted me to the unit.
  • Completely customizable screens with a ton of selections. Very intuitive once you use it a couple of times. The buttons are solid and no way to hit them by mistake.
  • This unit is perfect. Gives me all data I need to see how, how fast, grade, etc.
  • The only problem I had with the Edge 500 is one of the tabs on the rear of the computer snapped off while riding and sent my computer flying off into the bushes.

What customers say about "Display"
Garmin Edge 200 GPS Enabled Bike Computer
  • The display is clear and easy to read. It displays 4 functions on one screen.
  • The screen is big enough to see the data during bright sunlight.
  • The display is perfect in size and information that I need to know on any distance of ride.
  • The 200 display seems perfect with large text where you need it.
  • My only complaint is that you cannot customize the display screen but that is a minor drawback.
Garmin Edge 500 Cycling GPS
  • Screen could be better and bigger, display is a little small for a quick glance down if your running 30+.
  • The one thing it lacks is a gear ration display.
  • The screen is very easy to read when on my bike, and with one button I can easily switch between the three views.
  • It worked, but the screen was very small when riding on my bike.
  • The 500 should be acceptable for those with better close up vision or who don't mind the screen glare.

What customers say about "Features"
Garmin Edge 200 GPS Enabled Bike Computer
  • I like the auto scroll at the bottom better than the 500 which auto scrolls each screen.
  • Current speed, distance, and time are always shown, while you can choose to cycle through calories burned, average speed, and total ascent.
  • The 200 finds signal sometimes 5 times as quickly as the 500.
  • The Edge 200 has an awesome "backtrack" feature, which works very well.
  • Instructions are not clear enough and how I can connect to other cyclists in Wash DC area.
Garmin Edge 500 Cycling GPS
  • Synchronizing with Garmin on line to measure distance, heart rate, elevation, speed and so on is great.
  • The download feature to the Garmin site works very well.
  • Very pleased with it. It is very configurable in what information is displayed - took me a few tries to arrange all the information as I wanted it, but it is very easy to set up.
  • The software also shows your route in Google Maps or Google Earth -- a very cool way to view your ride. And, you can send a link of your rides to your friends.
  • This unit is perfect. Gives me all data I need to see how, how fast, grade, etc. Easy hookup to Garmin Connect webpage which is great centralized location to see all of biking activity.
