- The LG 55SJ8500 is a beautiful television that can delivery absolutely stunning imagery.
- I love this television, the detail and the color on the screen are fantastic.
- The quality of the picture is outstanding. Can view from any angle in the room.
- TV lasted 3 months and then screen went blank.
- The TV broke after owning for 10 weeks. The backlighting failed on the left side of the screen.
- Screen is great and menu system is easy to use.
- It took a little while to adjust to the screen. The picture is so sharp that it is as though I were looking at a professional still photo in motion.
- Really beautiful screen. Using it mostly for presentations - makes a good big screen monitor.
- This television offers gorgeous crisp 4k resolution, with true color representation across all colors of the rainbow.
- Overall, I'm very pleased with the purchase. The screen has very little bezel and looks fantastic, especially with native 4K material.

- Good picture quality, nice sound, lightweight, easy to navigate smart tv functionality.
- The picture and quality is very good for the price and the wifi and extra features which I am still learning about are decent.
- The picture clarity is flawless and it's a really thin unit to have on your wall.
- It has a great picture as I'd expect from LG.
- The picture is great. I love LG TVs and this is another great one.
- Contrast is excellent on this tv and I see very little halo effects with bright areas near dark.
- The brightness, crispness, and contrast looks great, and I found myself making very little tweaks to get the type of picture I enjoy.

- Sound is really good also, great speakers.
- It’s a really nice tv. Great picture and sound. I recommend this purchase.
- The picture is great. The sound is good, not great, but good.
- It sounds really good for not being hooked up to a real sound system.
- The colors are amazing! The sound is unbeatable and I love all the apps that are included.
- The built in speakers are even ok.
- I can't note anything about the speakers because I immediately hooked it up to my soundbar but they sounded fine the few minutes they were on.
- Surround sound actually is quite impressive, I use the TV for treble and a sound bar for bass, works out well.
- Speakers aren't the greatest, but would get by if needed.
- Only one negative is the speakers are just horrible. Not sure if there is a setting I need to adjust or what but I have to turn it up all the way to hear it.

- Fantastic picture, installation was easy. Just plug it in and follow the on-screen guide.
- The connections on the back of the set are easy to see and access.
- It connected to my home Wifi network in the usual fashion and with the Magic Remote, surfing, googling, finding things online is a snap.
- There are four HDMI ports for transmitting video and digital data. I used them for my cable box, my Blue Ray disc player, and my Apple TV. There are also three USB ports.
- The HDMI ports got screwed up and now I don't have audio. LG doesn't want to do anything about it.
- I'm using a receive with optical output, which sounds great.
- And using sound-capable HDMI cables eliminated a lot of cabling with the Uverse box and Blu-Ray.
- Gaming on Xbox One looks fantastic. Make sure to use HDMI 5 for gaming.
- The Tv did not recognize the hard drive, so I read online manual and it say that the usb connection is only for flash drive, and is not compatible with external hard drive.
- Only challenge is the audio, from attached HDMI sources, can occasionally not play. restarting the device in question (turn off or on) tends to fix it.
