- This bat weighs close to it’s stated weight, but swings easier compared to similar sized bats. For example, my son was using a 2-piece alloy bat 29/17 oz and this Marucci big barrel 29/19 oz is easier to swing.
- I bought this bat for my soon to be 9 year old son for travel ball. We were mainly looking for a bat with some pop that wouldn't sting his hands and this bat gets 5 stars for both right out of the wrapper.
- Son loves this bat. He likes it better that the 2016 Easton Mako Composite.
- My son loves this bat (29/19). He's hit with it for 2 1/2 seasons and uses it at every practice. Still has good pop and no dents. Swings easy.
- This is a great bat with good pop. My son is not the only one who loves this bat, his teammates are a fan too.
- This bat is hot right out of the wrapper. Son loves it and now only wants to use his Cat8.
- This is the best one piece youth bat we have owned. Great for high level travel ball.
- The sound off this bat is amazing. Bought a 30/20 for our 9yr old. He loves it.
- Nice pop right out of box. Older son uses Cat 7 for 2 years now. The bats hold up.
- I bought this bat for my high school baseball player. He had always been a standout hitter, but really struggled at the plate this past season and complained about his bats not feeling balanced (end loaded), and felt "dead". So for his birthday he wanted a new (balanced) bat.
- There is no loud “ping” sound which is nice too. Although when you do make good contact, the tone of the bat changes- it’s just not a loud “ping”. Marucci states on their website that this composite bat has a no-ring barrel.
- Only hit about 100 balls so far so I can't speak to durability but don't foresee any problems. We are extremely happy with this purchase
- It’s a great bat and has great pop. Has a slightly different sound than other composite bats. It sounds like a composite, but I can hear if he got a solid hit like I could with the cat7 alloy.
- The barrel degraded progressively to the point that flakes of metal (not just paint) were missing.
- As much as we paid for the bat, one month later the end pops off. I am pretty sure the end is not made to come off. We realized its just plastic on plastic.
- Great bat great pop and it lasts. Highly recommend this bat
- Good quality and service.product was as advertised
- We started with tee work, then I threw him about 80 live pitches, and finished up with soft toss.
- He said that although the bat was the same weight as his other bat and felt the same to hold... it felt lighter to swing (his words).
- Damn thing broke before the season was over. Very expensive to just literally have the top pop off. Never again....
