- This bat weighs close to it’s stated weight, but swings easier compared to similar sized bats. For example, my son was using a 2-piece alloy bat 29/17 oz and this Marucci big barrel 29/19 oz is easier to swing.
- I bought this bat for my soon to be 9 year old son for travel ball. We were mainly looking for a bat with some pop that wouldn't sting his hands and this bat gets 5 stars for both right out of the wrapper.
- Son loves this bat. He likes it better that the 2016 Easton Mako Composite.
- My son loves this bat (29/19). He's hit with it for 2 1/2 seasons and uses it at every practice. Still has good pop and no dents. Swings easy.
- This is a great bat with good pop. My son is not the only one who loves this bat, his teammates are a fan too.
- My 11yr old just moved to this 31/21 ZEN. He was originally using the 20/30 ZEN. He hits really hard with this bat and prefers it over the Ghost that he also tried. He never complains about the sting from this bat and I've noticed other kids are asking to use it during practice.
- The CF Zen had far more pop out of the box then the Ghost X. My son started the season with the Ghost X and I never cared for it.
- Son loves this bat, and even with the smaller barrel, he tells me it has a good sweet spot, swing weight and no miss hit sting. USA bat, but still has pop
- Good pop considering USA standard. My 13 year old loves it. Zero sting. Very balanced. Great deal on performance bat.
- Every since purchasing this bat my child and others on his team who use this bat are hitting to the outfield almost every hit. Satisfied customer
- There is no loud “ping” sound which is nice too. Although when you do make good contact, the tone of the bat changes- it’s just not a loud “ping”. Marucci states on their website that this composite bat has a no-ring barrel.
- Only hit about 100 balls so far so I can't speak to durability but don't foresee any problems. We are extremely happy with this purchase
- It’s a great bat and has great pop. Has a slightly different sound than other composite bats. It sounds like a composite, but I can hear if he got a solid hit like I could with the cat7 alloy.
- The barrel degraded progressively to the point that flakes of metal (not just paint) were missing.
- As much as we paid for the bat, one month later the end pops off. I am pretty sure the end is not made to come off. We realized its just plastic on plastic.
- Great balance and feel, 12 yr old son loves it. Little vibration on mis-hits.
- After continuously using this bat it starting breaking in and was getting hotter and hotter. We had it for a year and the Barrell busted in the middle of a game and pieces of composite went everywhere.
- The bat already has a large crack and 10s of hairline fractures running vertically down the bat.
- Sweet spot could be a little bigger, but when you hit it right it is very "hot" We will see how reliability is the coming months.
- Although these are supposed to be equally strong, my confidence level in 2.75" diameter bats are not very high verses the 2.625" bats.
