- It can be difficult when reading reviews to make the decision right for oneself. I made the right decision with this. The discount provided for a much higher quality than I could get anywhere else.
- I had been clipping my almost two year old Standard Poodle with scissors or taking him to a groomer every few months. I decided to try clipping him myself and I’m so pleased with the Andis AGC2.
- As a first time DIY groomer, I was nervous about the whole experience, but these clippers worked like a dream. My husband and I cut my 5mo doodle's hair for the first time and after doing some prep work to orient him to the clippers' sound and vibration, this went much more smoothly than expected.
- These clippers are wonderful! They did get warm, however, our first session with them has been spent cutting out some pretty good mats, so heat was expected.
- My dogs fur is way too short and I’m not used to it. I don’t mind too much because it’s getting warmer but will not do it without attachment combs again. They do cut smooth and no nicks on my dog.
- The 2 speeds helps with more difficult areas like around joints.
- The two speed feature is really nice on the Andis as the clipper blades will not heat up as fast in the slow speed setting and still has plenty of power to do the job.
- At 3400 spm and 4400 spm (strokes per minute) it is designed for super fast cutting with two speeds, a normal speed that cuts fast and smooth, and high when warp speed is required.
- The variable speed switch will no longer work on the higher speed. I sometimes have difficulty even turning the clippers on.
- There are 2 speeds to use, which comes in handy depending on the body part. Each of our 2 schnauzers now only go to the groomer about once per quarter and we do touch-ups in between with these clippers.
- The AGC-2 #7 blade did “warm-up” but was not hot to the touch and we never worried that it was too hot-I don’t think it’s possible to use any brand and not expect some sort of heat after 45 minutes of use. It’s light and easy to maneuver with a very long cord.
- The cord is very long, so I have been able to cut him in many rooms of my house as well as outside without issue. It has two speeds to get through different lengths of hair and is quiet for a razor.
- Generous long electric cord. Looks like they will last a long time. I assume these would be great for other mixed-breed poodles (labra, golden, etc.).
- Nice long, heavy-duty cords. Treat these clippers right and they will last for many, many years with heavy use.
- This is a very well made product. It only comes with a 10 guard, so unless you’re looking to clip your dog super close, you need to order another set of guards. The best part is it has a long cord and is extremely quiet.
- The long cord is nice, and the two speeds work well.
- Another great feature is how easily and quickly the blades can changed.
- I really enjoy the locking blade feature and the high speed which makes shaving a dog with thick hair a breeze.
- The cord is sufficiently long so that you plenty of space to work with and are not tied to 12" range around an outlet.
- The cord is super long also--no need for an extension cord.
