What customers say about "Size & Weight"
Nikon COOLPIX AW130 Waterproof Digital Camera
- It is light weight and durable. I dropped it and nothing happend. It is a great camera.
- It is light weight, small, shock resistant, waterproof and dust proof.
- It seems like it will be durable, compact, and light enough to be what I am looking for in an adventure camera.
- Light, compact, great pictures above and below water.
Nikon COOLPIX W300 Waterproof Underwater Digital Camera
- It is quite heavy compared to my other (less expensive) Nikon digital cameras, but I like the weight; it makes me feel like I have gotten a better camera.
- It's size and durability, insure that I'll always have it ready, when I'm in the water. It's simple to use, and can take a beating.
- I purchased this for a trip thinking it would be perfect because of the compact size and the zoom.
- I purchased this primarily for the 4K video, which I think is fantastic for a camera of this size. The video quality is indeed something to rave about coming from a camera of this size.

What customers say about "Imaging"
Nikon COOLPIX AW130 Waterproof Digital Camera
- Very good picture quality. Excellent and fast autofocus. Auto face detection which is nice.
- Multiple modes (like pet mode for taking action shots of your dog) but honestly you'll leave it in automatic 90% of the time.
- Image quality is better than I expected for compact cameras in this price segment. excellent full-auto focus and exposure control: fast and spot-on.
- Especially good exposure when using the flash. Excellent results in difficult situations.
- The setting on the flash is either auto or no flash (in the automatic mode). You can force the flash to fire (to fill in darker areas of the scene) in most of the other modes like portrait.
Nikon COOLPIX W300 Waterproof Underwater Digital Camera
- Easy to use! I literally pointed and shot. I liked the latitude of ISO which allows decent Low light shots. And video worked well too.
- This model impressed me most due to the quality of its chassis and comfortable fit in my hand, its superior display monitor, its 24–120mm equivalent focal length range (the super-wide angle especially attracted me)
- It supports recording at UltraHD resolution 4K (XAVC S 3840 x 2160) at 30p.
- Picture quality is fairly decent for a camera with this size sensor
- I purchased this for a trip thinking it would be perfect because of the compact size and the zoom. The zoom is very disappointing, doesn't get nearly as close up as I had hoped.

What customers say about "Display"
Nikon COOLPIX AW130 Waterproof Digital Camera
- It takes a great picture, easy to use menus, large bright screen.
- Convenient in the pocket if you want. good large screen to view subject.
- The camera takes good underwater pictures but it is hard to see what you are trying to take pictures of on the screen the screen is dark so it's hard to see the fish or whatever you are trying to focus in on.
- Good quality but I wish it had a viewfinder because the screen is difficult to see in sunlight (as with all similar small cameras).
- Only negative is that you can't see the screen when it's very sunny outside.
Nikon COOLPIX W300 Waterproof Underwater Digital Camera
- The picture and video captured by this camera are just outstanding, and the LCD display is really fantastic.
- I love the traditional buttons on the side of the camera, that lets me zoom in and out, while seeing on the display the preview, and it’s just practical and simply to use.
- The monitor display on this W300 is so much better than the one on my old DMC-FX30 that it is now much easier for me to notice when the exposure needs adjustment.
- If sunlight is really bright, display is hard to see when snorkeling.

What customers say about "Protection"
Nikon COOLPIX AW130 Waterproof Digital Camera
- Very solidly built. Survived a tumble down a lava rock slope that would have broken a regular camera.
- We bought this because the waterproof feature and the depth for our scuba diving excursions. We have received many compliments on the photos, look, and style of the camera.
- I loved this camera. I did multiple dives up to 30-40 feet in Hawaii, did a river tube trip, swam at the beach, all while taking both stills and video. Great quality for each.
- Only tested it to about 25 feet underwater but am pleased with the performance and have some great shots with it.
- Good for about 6 months. Survived a few dives down to 60ft.
Nikon COOLPIX W300 Waterproof Underwater Digital Camera
- Great underwater camera! I took it on my first scuba diving trip down 18.5 meters for 50 minutes and got good pics!
- It is dustproof, and shock resistant. With a great resilience under cold weather.
- Being shockproof is a HUGE plus, since I have dropped my current camera and beat the crap out of it, and when I dropped my previous Nikon, which I ADORED, I broke the viewing screen.
- The fact that this camera is waterproof to a depth of 30m/100ft is interesting
- This Nikon W300 Waterproof Camera is a workhorse camera, perfect for most all situations. First, it's waterproof - it really can be wetted or submerged, take pictures underwater, works in the rain, works if you drop your coffee on it, it works

What customers say about "Connectivity"
Nikon COOLPIX AW130 Waterproof Digital Camera
- Has a depth/altimeter gauge that is on the main display. GPS built in.
- GPS & GLONASS & Pressure-Altimeter-based geo-tagging features are nice.
- Having a built-in compass and GPS-driven map feature will help me find my way back to my vehicle even in the dark.
- Connectivity to the Android app is flaky and downright annoying.
- It has WLAN capability, but can't upload photos direct to cloud storage. Wireless image transfer to mobile device only.
Nikon COOLPIX W300 Waterproof Underwater Digital Camera
- The W300 does display compass direction, altitude, and surface pressure for each photo in playback mode, which is cool
- I like the GPS capability and the altitude readout on the screen since I do a lot of mountain backpacking.
- Surprise feature: Direct micro USB charging! No proprietary wires to lose or wall plug thingy's, and you can recharge on the go using standard cell phone battery banks.
- The W300 has lots of new Wifi/Blutooth and GPS stuff and a number of scenes
- I purchased this camera because of the advertised ruggedness and the Wi-Fi and Bluetooth technology. Both the Bluetooth and the Wifi are a complete failure. I should have read the reviews for the Nikon SnapBridge app which are abmissmal.

What customers say about "Power"
Nikon COOLPIX AW130 Waterproof Digital Camera
- The battery compartment, which is where the waterproofing happens, is quite secure. The locking mechanism for the compartment is the best I've seen among waterproof cameras.
- Camera takes nice pictures both in and out of water. I can take it ANYWHERE! Battery life is excellent.
- A little heavy but it works great. Long battery life.
- The battery life is impressive. I used this camera for half of a day, taking pictures and videos for almost the entire time, and the battery indicator still showed the battery fully charged.
- To charge it you have to plug the microUSB cable (connected to the charger or computer) into the charging port in the batter compartment. The means the O-rings are sitting exposed to dust, cat fur, etc.
Nikon COOLPIX W300 Waterproof Underwater Digital Camera
- Surprise feature: Direct micro USB charging! No proprietary wires to lose or wall plug thingy's, and you can recharge on the go using standard cell phone battery banks. Bravo!
- The button lay out makes sense, it has a long battery life, the image quality is great.
- Good battery life as long as you don't forget it is on.
- No cradle means you have to open the camera and charge the battery while it is in the camera. So if you want to have extra batteries charged and ready when you need them. You need to charge them all in the camera or find an after market external charger.
