- Made for diving: Compact, good grip, easy one-hand operation even with gloves
- Takes better pictures than I thought it would very wel compact
- It is very compact and i find myself using it instead of my more bulky, heavy and expensive S95 setup.
- Overall good waterproof camera, but it is a little heavy for camera
- The size and weight of the camera are just right.
- Very solid and well built camera. It is not a light weight unit but I like that fact.
- Light weight, easy to carry in your pocket.
- It is light weight, easy to use and took great pictures above and below the water.
- Very light weight and portable!

- High ISO performance is typical of a point and shoot with a lot of noise.
- The digital zoom function on this camera is unbelievable. I can stand on a rig floor and zoom in to the crown sheaves at the top of the derrick (0ver 200' away) and clearly see tar buildup and make a decision to go up and take a closer look.
- The camera performed well and the pics shot in underwater macro mode had excellent resolution.
- The underwater mode did a great job at taking out the blue cast on both still photos and videos
- The subaquatic mode (software filter) really WORKS! Kudos Canon, colours pop out as if the camera had a strobe attached; most of my underwater pictures were GREAT without any tweaks, just point that turtle and shoot.
- If you get it, use the lowest ISO setting, keep the lens dry, and ask Mr Sun to shine down on you!
- This camera does a really good job with basic underwater photography, and has some convenient underwater shooting modes that you can adjust to get the best photo.
- The HDR mode takes some really nice shots, but does flatten to JPG and takes a sec to process, which delays the shooting time a bit. Still worth using though.
- Microscope mode is incredible.
- Lots of picture-type options, such as panoramic, pinhole, etc.
- Photo quality is really just average and doesn't match some of the better point and shoot cameras.

- The reason I waited for, and paid more for this camera than the competition or the D20 was the "Sunlight LCD Mode" We live in Florida, and I do a lot of shooting at the beach/pool, and in heavy sun. I have never had an LCD screen that can be clearly seen in the sun.
- I found the Sunlight LCD mode didn't use much more battery juice but it allowed me to transition very easily from underwater to a white sand tropical beach and still see the subject just fine.
- There was also water/fogging present in the LCD screen and the lens.
- I took just a few pictures and the LCD screen went black. I couldn't see what I was shooting, which made the camera useless.
- The live view screen is sharp and bright.
- The lcd screen is very exposed and easily scratched, I strongly suggest tempered glass protector.
- I really want to love this camera but the biggest problem is the lens fogs up a lot. Also the lcd screen fogs up as well.
- Back screen is not at all scratch resistant. For a tough camera it showed wear and tear from the first moment I took it in the water.
- Not the best screen, I often can hardly tell how a photo really looks until I get it on the laptop,

- It's waterproof! I don't know how they did it. The quality is good enough for me
- Highly recommended shockproof and waterproof cam, ive had 3 and this is the best yet!
- You can only go to 82 feet with the D30, but it's pretty rare these days where we dive deeper than 80 feet.
- So when I saw that this one was waterproof to 80ft, shockproof from 6 feet and integrated GPS into the photo's, it was a done deal. Excellent build quality.
- We used this camera at an outdoor summer camp as the thing loaned out to volunteer picture takers. It survived with flare. Mud, dust, dirt, rain, smoke, water, fish, kids, lunch -- it handled everything.
- Doesn't need underwater housing unless you dive below 50 ft
- A few of the pros are its waterproof, takes awesome underwater shots, rugged, small, and easy to use.
- I bought it for my son because it was shockproof and waterproof. It has good features.
- I brought this camera for my Hawaii trip and it was worth every penny of it. Dive down to 25 feet snuba with no problem.
- Just because it's shockproof, crushproof, and rugged doesn't mean that it won't scratch. I was riding on my bike, had my camera sitting in a bike basket and it got scratched up. So be careful and maybe get a pouch for it.
- The GPS feature is handy for figuring out where I was when I took the picture
- I like the new GPS tagging, it comes in handy (turing GPS and tagging on an off is a bit clumsy, but not awful).
- only thing that i did not like was the fact that it does not bring integrated WIFI so in order to shar the pics u need to wait to get to a computer or pass it though the memory card
- My cellphone still came into play by using the bluetooth connectivity to turn it into a camera remote. That proved useful for taking some nice selfies with the background landscape fully captured.
- especially love that it has Wifi and will connect to my iPhone so I can deliver photographs directly to my iPhone without having to get out all of the wires and go to my desktop. So handy!
- The wi-fi on the camera sets the camera itself up as a wi-fi connection that you can select in your phone's wi-fi connections. After you have connected to the camera's wi-fi, you can use the Olympus app on your phone to remote control the camera, edit photos and transfer them to your phone.
- The GPS, while a bit laggy in acquiring a signal, is quite handy.
- The connectivity performance via WiFi though is cumbersome. I had hoped moving photos around would be as easy as with my iPhone, but that isn't close to the case. It is always easier to just connect the phone physically to a computer

- Battery life is good. I have taken 250 still shots, about 5 minutes of video, kept the camera on for quite a while between shots, reviewed a lot of photos, and the indicator finally dropped to 2/3 charge.
- The battery lasts a pretty long time and the pictures and videos came out great - excellent color correction!!
- Long battery life. I charged mine after six dives just to make sure, but it may have lasted longer.
- Battery last over a full week of vacation.
- Battery life is pretty good. I purchased an extra battery and didn't need it.
- Battery life better than expected. I took several hundred shots and many minutes of video before the indicator dropped off "full".
- Battery life is short. You need to completely recharge the battery after just a few hours of usage, even when it's not shooting all the time.
- The camera does not come with a separate battery charger (battery must be charged while in the camera by default), which isn't a big deal if you only have a single battery.
