What customers say about "Key Specs"
Fiio E7 USB DAC and Portable Headphone Amplifier
- Its serves well as on outboard DAC for computers and other sources able to output digital stream to the FiiO.
- For the most part, this amp does what it says it does. It does sound very good!
- As for the actual sound quality, using it as a DAC from my Macbook Pro and hooking a pair of AKG K240 and I was really pleased with the outcome.
- Worried wouldn't be loud enough but it's great. Highly recommend.
- The FiiO E7 is a vast improvement over my ThinkPad's internal sound card. The sound has more texture, more detail, better bass and greater openness.
Fiio E9 Desktop Headphone Amplifier
- Quality of construction is good. Transparent sound. All in all it's very good device.
- Sound is great and works perfectly with my Pyle rebranded E7 also connected to Note 2, Note 3, 5g itouch, iPad as a DAC.
- The FiiO E9 is a great entry-level amplifier for anyone looking to take the plunge into the world of headphones.
- Works flawlessly as a desktop amp with the E7. I love loud acoustic music. This delivers. Very low noise threshold, very pleasing to use, cheap
- I found there are lacking bass and fullness with Grado SR225 headphones with this DAC.

What customers say about "Size & Weight"
Fiio E7 USB DAC and Portable Headphone Amplifier
- Compact, stylish & functional is what the FiiO E7 is all about.
- Fit and sizes of the unit itself is fantastic. The presentation was also awesome. It comes in a small white box, clearly styled after the iPhone packaging.
- This is a great little device. For the money, FiiO seems to treat you very well.
- Size wise, it's about the size of a portable mp3 player. Pretty compact and comfortable in use.
- It's made for the total product quality, but the size is little bit larger than the X series of Sony Walkman.
Fiio E9 Desktop Headphone Amplifier
- It feels very solid and heavy for its size. I don't think it is gonna break if fall once.
- Versatile Little Box. Well build solid construction and comfortable is use.
- So, I think this is probably a killer little amp if you're running music thru a computer or MP3, etc.
- Its somewhat large. When i think about DAC I imagine noteless little device. But this one isn't like this.
- Feels that the DAC is a little fragile and vulnerable with connected E7 amp.

What customers say about "Features"
Fiio E7 USB DAC and Portable Headphone Amplifier
- The E7 also has a line level input. The main reason for most people to use the E7 as a headphone amp.
- I would also like to talk about the OLED display. It is real functional and looks great.
- There's only 4 buttons, and it's easy to navigate the menus. I do like the OLED display a lot.
- There's no way to shut off the display when it's not in use. This unnecessary battery drain problem though.
- The specs say that the internal lithium ion battery will provide 80 hours of use. I get about 5 hours at an average volume of only about half of max volume.
Fiio E9 Desktop Headphone Amplifier
- Solid structure, nice finish and appealing to look at. Controls and smooth and easy to use such as the volume.
- The volume/power dial is fantastic and a real pleasure to turn up and down. The headphone jacks are solid and all connections are tight.
- It gives great sound and the volume control on the front makes it very easy to adjust sound levels to compensate for differences in sound levels of the recorded music
- The volume knob has no tactile feedback at all. Just a somewhat loose spinning wheel. It also makes a bit of sound as the edges of the knob.
- Its requires external powerful supply. Would be nice if it ran off usb power.
