About the Product
Drenched in innovative features, the SHOEI GT-Air facilitates easier adaptation to the ever-changing conditions that lie ahead. The convenient flip-down internal sun shield, free-flowing yet easily adjustable ventilation system and superior aerodynamics ensure greater comfort and performance than ever before. It’s one thing to be a great-looking helmet, but quite another to also boast the functionality and performance to put a smile on any rider’s face.
The HJC RPHAST helmet is constructed from Advanced P.I.M. (Premium Integrated Matrix), a composite of carbon fiber, fiberglass, aramid and organic fibers resulting in a remarkably strong and extremely lightweight helmet. An integrated internal sunshield drops down with the flick of a side mounted lever for keeping the rays at bay.

What customers say about "Key Specs"
Shoei GT-Air Pendulum, Small, Black/White
- I don't always ride with a full-face, but have been riding one more and more so I picked up a Shoei Air GT back in September.
- I knew that this was a quality product from reviews so it was little surprise to me that my expectations were met. The quality is obvious the first minute you hold it in your hand.
- Great helmet! my only complaint is fogging. The pinlock is amazing and does a great job but the sun visor is not fog proof at all.
- Great helmet. Allows good airflow through the hemet, even on the hot 103 days. Love the internal sun sheild, easy to put up or down while riding.
- I've always been a fan of Shoei helmets. It fits as expected and protects my noggin! When it arrived, the Shoei box was in an oversized box with plenty of packaging material.
HJC RPHA ST Rugal Full Face Helmet
- One of the main reasons I chose this helmet was it's billing as a touring helmet good for 3/4 to upright riding, so the wind-noise is a disappointment.
- Enter the HJC ST, finally a helmet that I can get on and off without screaming in terror lol, and it fits really nice once on...a tad snug right now but should break in nicely.
- Overall it is a decent helmet. If I didn't need the more oval shape, though, I would have tried the IS-17 and paid for the pinlock upgrade which would have saved a few dollars.
- The new technology incorporated on this helmet makes it cool in warm weather, as well as being very quiet on the road. And I like the way the face shield locks down, but is easily opened with gloves on.
- It is light, comfortable and I can attest to ability to protect in a crash. I'm not sure I can upload a photo of the aftermath on the helmet or not but I will if I can figure that out.

Shoei GT-Air Pendulum, Small, Black/White
- As for comfort, the Arai still seems to fit better. They say each brand fits differently, but I think part of it is due to how many hours I have in the Arai vs the Shoei.
- It really impresses when you put it on for the first time and actually ride with it.
- It totally fits like a golve. It was a bit tight on my cheeks but that hardly detracts anything from the helmet itself.
- I bought this because it is supposed to be a really great fit and quiet. The first part is fine, it fits like a glove after you break it in and get used to it.
- Great helmet, one of the most comfortable I have put on before.
HJC RPHA ST Rugal Full Face Helmet
- The fit was a bit tight, but this is a medium and I'm right between M and L - so I don't think this helmet is sized small.
- Very light, comfortable, and a wide range of vision.
- My wife and I have not been disappointed. The helmet fits perfect (maybe just a tad snug, but that is good), is lightweight, and quite comfortable.
- Fit is good. Pinlock faceshield works as advertised, as do the integral shades...I threw the chin thingy away...
- Was looking for second helmet. Ending up swapping. Very comfy and great ventilation. Very light and stable. Would reccomend. Drop down visor big plus.

What customers say about "Features"
Shoei GT-Air Pendulum, Small, Black/White
- The Shoei is definitely more quiet then my Arai and the internal sun shield is awesome, just slide it back and the shield comes down, slide it forward and it goes back up.
- The Arai feels cooler, when riding, but I don't believe it actually is. It feels cooler because the vents on the top let air into two very concentrated areas on the top of your head so when you are moving you really notice the air (in those two locations only).
- The airflow is another nice feature. It makes a huge difference when you open and close the vents. I didn't notice any whistling at all, even at high speeds.
- It easily fogs up, then gets dirty when the foggy visor is retracted and gets lint/dust on it.
- The ventilation is great and the internal sunshield is very useful.
- My only issue has been the fogging, partly due to the tight fit. Luckily..there is a solution--pinlock visor. This helmet comes with the pinlock visor that eliminates fogging on the visor. Really nice feature.
HJC RPHA ST Rugal Full Face Helmet
- The vents are a lot easier to find and manipulate than the small ones on the CL-17.
- The fact that there is included a pin-lock insert in the box is awesome. Easy to install and it just works. No muss no fuss no fog.
- Great thing is that you get the pin lock shield included inthe box. Also the integrated sun shield is very helpful . No need to change glasses for sunny days/night riding.
- I love the included pinlock shield and center locking mechanism! It is more of a round oval which gave me that little bit extra room so my Scala Rider mic is not pressing against my face like with the IS-16.
- I personally don't feel extra air flow over the IS-16. I do get blasted with air with my stock bike screen though so some air comes up into the helmet from there vs through the RPHA's vents.
