What customers say about "Key Specs"
Sigma 24-105mm F4.0 Art DG OS HSM Lens for Nikon
- The Sigma is sharper than the Nikkor 24-70 at every aperture, and would have a little more contrast and slightly poppier colors.
- Great all purpose focal lengths, decent constant aperture, impeccable focusing, and handsome to boot. I prefer this lens over my Nikkor 24-70, and it's half the price.
- I mainly use it for videography and it's super sharp. Love have the focal length.
- I did try the Sigma 24-70 f2.4 prior to this lens and did not like it (too soft wide open). The 24-105 doesn't open as wide, but images are sharp at all f stops, and provides a bit of extra focal length and the image stabilization the 24-70 didn't have.
- This is a really heavy but pretty sharp lens wide open at f4.0. My only complaint is the massive amount of vignetting at f4 pretty much all the way through but of course worse at wider angles.
Nikon AF-S FX 24-120mm f/4G ED Vibration Reduction Zoom Lens with Auto Focus for Nikon DSLR
- The previous effort by Nikon on this lens was a dud. This lens is noticeably better in all respect.
- Got this along with my D750 included in the kit. This is a awesome lens you can carry around for pretty much most of the tasks.
- I wanted a lens I can use at anytime and after reading hundreds of reviews I went for it hoping it will work out. Well, let me tell you, it lens is quite awesome!
- I use it for events and gatherings when I need a wider focal length than my 70-200mm f4 can provide.
- Overall, this is a decent lens for general purpose, all-around, walk-around lens. It does have its drawbacks, like being a slow lens (but this depends on use), and the distortion is noticeable, especially on a full-frame body.

What customers say about "Size & Weight"
Sigma 24-105mm F4.0 Art DG OS HSM Lens for Nikon
- It's got a nice weight to it, and just oozes quality glass.
- The weight might be a problem for some, but this is a professional lens - you kinda have to expect it to be heavy.
- It's not heavy enough, easy to use and easy to carry in camera bag.
- I use a carry speed strap and I do feel tired after a full day of taking pictures. But i think the weight (850g) is ok for a prosumer grade lens.
Nikon AF-S FX 24-120mm f/4G ED Vibration Reduction Zoom Lens with Auto Focus for Nikon DSLR
- It's significantly heavier than the kit lenses that came with the camera (Nikkor 18-55mm f/3.-5.6 and Nikkor 70-300mm f/4.5-6.3), which really underscores the build quality of this lens.
- A bit heavy, but hey, it's a lot of glass.
- It is an excellent combination of speed, weight, focal length, and build.
- This lens is small and has a extremely useful zoom range. This lens is heavier than my previous plastic bodied standard zoom, but it balances the camera and embodies the durability and quality.
- The only thing I don't like about this lens is its weight. If you are looking for light weight lens, this is not for you.

What customers say about "Imaging"
Sigma 24-105mm F4.0 Art DG OS HSM Lens for Nikon
- It has built in image stabilization which is just an absolute blessing. It works very well and it is completely silent.
- It is heavy and large but the image quality is fantastic. I am getting very accurate auto focus out of the box and of course you can easily tune that if you have sigma docking station.
- The image quality is superb. I shoot with a Nikon D7100, and it is very sharp corner to corner on a DX body from 24-80mm. Above that to 105, image quality may start to soften slightly, but it's negligible
- The only drawback is the cutoff at f4, but you gain image stabilization with this lens, which at least assists with handholding if not necessarily stopping action.
- As expected, the lens performs best around the midrange e.g., 50mm. It's decently sharp at 24mm and acceptable at 105mm. Your 105mm pictures will look ok until you zoom in, at which point focus suffers - but this is expected for a lens at this price point.
Nikon AF-S FX 24-120mm f/4G ED Vibration Reduction Zoom Lens with Auto Focus for Nikon DSLR
- I have only taken a limited number of photos but it has produced great photos. I am using it on a Nikon D800. Excellent quality. Fast focus. Excellent mid priced lens.
- I have a Nikon d800 and i was looking for a high quality mid-range zoom for travel.
- The colour, contrast, focussing speed, and sharpness of the 24-120 f4 are all very impressive.
- The constant f4.0 does an excellent job from wide to zoom in for any light situation.
- Used for several months and image quality is very sharp.

What customers say about "Features"
Sigma 24-105mm F4.0 Art DG OS HSM Lens for Nikon
- The image quality is fantastic for a zoom lens, the zoom ring is very smooth, and the focus ring is very smooth.
- The built in focus motor is fast and quiet. It works perfectly on my Nikon D700 body.
- The hypersonic motor is also nearly silent - a big leap from the DC motor in my old Sigma.
- The 82mm filter size also makes it seem more substantial than the other 77mm filter-threaded 24-105 lenses.
- The lens isn't weather-sealed in case you need that capability.
- One thing you'll need to watch is the manual focus ring is narrow and can be hard to get a follow focus band in the space with out dragging.
Nikon AF-S FX 24-120mm f/4G ED Vibration Reduction Zoom Lens with Auto Focus for Nikon DSLR
- Sharp, beautiful colors and the built in VR is effective. Construction is good as well.
- The autofocus and vibration reduction work very well. I can't point to any major faults, it just does everything well.
- Lens feel sturdily built, but after a year of use, my focus ring has a little play in it (I use AF mainly, so the focus ring gets little use. Still works, just there is a little play in the focus ring).
- The switches/toggles that control the focus mode and vibration reduction feel sturdy and have a great tactile response to them. My only gripe with the build is the manual focus ring. It's a bit narrow and hard to find sometimes.
- The performance is outstanding. Having a fixed aperture means that I can shoot at f/4 even when zoomed out completely to the 120mm focal length, which is great when I'm trying to take pictures of my dog running around the yard.
