What customers say about "Key Specs"
Schwinn 230 Recumbent Bike
- The resistance is very smooth when increasing or decreasing, and it is totally consistent while riding.
- The higher levels provide enough resistance to give a great workout to even the most fit bike rider, honestly I can't imagine even using the top 3 or 4 levels LOL.
- Changing levels of resistance while riding is very simple and the change happens quickly and smoothly.
- I really like the quality of the resistance and switching from higher to lower.
- The resistance levels are fantastic on the 230. From totally easy to sweat-inducing, muscle challenging feel it the next morning heavy resistance.
Schwinn 270 Recumbent Bike (MY17)
- Changing resistance levels is very straight forward.
- It has a fun array of programs that go from easy to quite challenging with resistance levels that go from easy to quite challenging that could even give a physically fit person a good workout.
- I've not had the bike very long but I love how the resistance is magnetically controlled resulting in very smooth and virtually whisper-quiet operation.
- The bike seems to operate well for both myself and my wife, with a wide range of seat adjustments and pedaling resistance levels.
- The main magnetic resistance unit was malfunctioning and caused a major bump once every revolution of the crank.

What customers say about "Design"
Schwinn 230 Recumbent Bike
- The pedals are very solid and comfortable!
- I have average adult male size feet and I can get them in the pedal strap with no problem.
- It seems like a perfect home exercise bike for someone who wants a quiet ride, ease of operation, and affordability. Good design and quality.
- Decent value, but silly design flaws will haunt you.
- The seatback and saddle are VERY HARD plastic. If you're bottom and back don't fit perfectly into the dimensions of the seat, you are in for an uncomfortable ride.
Schwinn 270 Recumbent Bike (MY17)
- It's quiet, doesn't draw a ton of electricity, is well made, and isn't too difficult to put together.
- The seat is reasonably comfortable, even given my... ahem... larger size.
- The seat adjusts quite a bit (I’m 6’1”, my wife is 5’4”) and would accommodate a wide variety of heights.
- It is exceedingly comfortable, easily adjustable for my needs, absolutely silent.
- Comfortable, easy to adjust position and very easy programing for two people.
