About the Product
The Gaggia MDF Grinder is a commercial grade burr grinder equal to those found in Europe's espresso bars and restaurants. Automatic dosing allows a premeasured amount of ground coffee to drop directly into the filter holder. Pull the lever once for one cup espresso, or twice for 2 cups. Precision-machined grinding burrs can be easily adjusted for 39 different degrees of fineness. The large hopper holds 10 ounces of coffee beans. Easy to use and perfect results are achieved each time. *Please note that most grinders are tested at the manufacturer and coffee grounds may be found in the grinder as a result. All machines sold are new unless otherwise clearly stated.
This versatile coffee grinder prepares beans for any method of coffee brewing. Three different grind settings offer a range of grinds from coarse for coffee percolators to medium for drip coffeemakers to fine for espresso makers. Whichever grind you prefer, the burr grinding wheels always produces grounds of a uniform texture. The transparent lid easily pops off to load the grinder with whole beans. A side button grinds up to 16 tablespoons of coffee into the transparent container below with either a constant or pulsing touch.

  • The Gaggia grinder has a wide variety of settings, which allow you to easily grind beans for a standard coffee machine or for espresso.

  • Easy settings for quantity and grind size. The finest setting is incredibly fine, perfect if you want to grind beans for baking.
  • Quality of grind is superb in addition to flexibility in that one can make a 10-cup medium (filter) grind stronger or weaker until the taste is perfect.
  • The unit broke down internally after a few months of normal use, about 4-5 times per week.
  • It operated slowly, always seemed to choke under load, and just felt generally cheap.
  • The lid shape and receptor container are awkward, as is pushing the side button.
