What customers say about "Key Specs"
Nikon Monarch 5 (7577) 10x42 Binocular
- They are very clear and show good color of the birds and butterflies that I like to study and enjoy!
- The lens cap deal is really a non issue, they were designed that way as others have pointed out. I enthusiastically recommend them!
- Good light gathering allows for viewing in dim light. Used in light rain with no problem.
- The Monarch can focus much closer. Even at 10X, the Aculon couldn't focus on anything within about 40'. At 22X it was much worse. The Monarch could focus as close as about 9'
- Excellent for bird and nature watching. Excellent optical clarity and easy focusing. No complaints.
Vortex Optics Diamondback Classic Binoculars
- If this is your price range for binoculars, STOP LOOKING. Buy these. Or at least, buy the ones of your choice from Vortex Optics.
- I highly recommend the Vortex line of optics and if you're on a budget and worried if they are worth it (as I was) the answer, to me, is a resounding YES!!
- Outstanding binoculars! Brilliant optics, good weight, easy to focus, and very sturdy!
- No need at all to buy more expensive optics. Vortex is seen on many hunting shows so you know these are quality optics.
- The optics are really clear and adjust very easily. The covering is a soft rubber that seems to be able to gripped well.

What customers say about "Features"
Nikon Monarch 5 (7577) 10x42 Binocular
- Very lightweight - needed a pair of light bino's for my bad neck and when I walk long distances on trails in parks, refuges and wildlife areas.
- Focus works well. It did take a day or two to get use to using the focus knob quickly on active feeding warblers but thats normal for any new binoculars.
- Eye relief is great! I wear glasses and I haven't had any strain on my eyes while using these on close or far away objects of interest!
- They are comfortable to hold. I plan to get a harness because I find it uncomfortable to have anything hanging around my neck, but the strap that comes with them is a really nice one.
- I like that you can't lose lens covers( see previous sentence ).I have some less expensive Tasco binos and there really is a big difference in quality and features.
Vortex Optics Diamondback Classic Binoculars
- One of the best features of all, allowing my eyes to have the space needed to see the full field of view
- If you are looking for a 10x42, waterproof, fogproof, binocular of this style, size, power and price, for use similar to what I have described above, then I highly recommend this
- And the dipoter setti.ng to match your eyes are also a great feature, espacillay those who doesn't have 20/20 vision on both eyes.
- Pleased with the performance of these binoculars for the price, features (waterproof, fogproof) and the lifetime warranty.
- The lenses are multi-coated and the binoc is argon gas filled, so we had no fogging. Temps ranged from 68 to 16 on our test days
