- VERY loud. The mixer motor is almost ear splitting, even at low settings. Add the motor to for the bowl at the same time, and you can barely hear yourself talk while using the mixer.
- Love it! It will definitely do any job. Thanks!
- The motor on the newer 6500 is much more quiet yet substantial feeling. The 6500 is almost more quiet on speed 10 than the 600 is on setting 1.

- Very sturdy beater construction, not using a 'wire whisk' type beater which is common in models now
- This appears to be a great little machine. takes up very little room.
- The 600 has been the high volume seller in the 6 qt size for over a decade now. So there are myriads of colors and you will get crazy good deals on it during the holidays.
- This is a small thing but it's nice. The attachment cap on the front of the machine is chrome on the 6500 where the one on the 600 is matt. It is a matter of personal choice which you prefer. I thought the chrome looked classy.
- You need several hands to operate this, because of the separate beater and bowl rotation motor.
- I have found that this mixer is very poor at some basic functions that you would expect a stand mixer to do, like whipping cream and creaming butter for icings.
- Speed settings are great, you can mix dry ingredients slow and slowly crank up the speed once you know you won't send the powder flying.
- The motor and blades are strong enough to handle heavy dough and it has a full range of speed settings to handle mixing anything.
- I love the very slowest setting to mix things together before zooming it.
- The rotary dial for speed does not move smoothly.

- Flexibility of being able to use as hand-held or stand mixer, and that the bowl rotates on its own
- The bowls are interchangeable between the glass and the standard metal. I tried it myself. However, it is important to remember that the bowls are different shapes though the width is the same where they mount and you MUST USE the mixing attachments for that specific bowl, metal or glass.
- This model requires a lot more manual scraping and poking of whatever's being mixed or kneaded than my previous stand mixer. This is likely due to the fact that the attachments don't come close enough to the sides and bottom of the bowl.
- This is particularly noticeable with modest quantities of ingredients, but even working with a dozen eggs, whatever's at the bottom of the bowl remains unmixed unless I stop repeatedly and scrape.
