- Uses a standard Bluetooth protocol shared by many other Bluetooth LED lights. Lots of apps work with it.
- Does not use a lot of electric power. Very efficient.
- When it works, the product performs as expected. Colors change, lights are bright, no complaints.
- Because this is Bluetooth and not WI-FI, can't go behind about 40 feet without having it out of range to turn on and off.
- WiFi range seems to be good. Tested at a range of 160' from Access Point inside to light post. So this bulb should work if your phone gets a decent signal at the location you want to put the bulb.
- For being a low-watt energy efficient bulb, that has a lifespan that stretches over a decade totally makes this bulb worth buying.
- The bulb is brighter in the white range than I expected - plenty bright enough to replace a standard bulb. I haven't compared, but I would say it is the equivalent of a 75 watt old school standard, but may actually be closer to 100.
- What a neat concept for a light bulb. But it does not seem to put out the 40-watt equivalent; it seems much dimmer.
- It's only 40 watts, that's not very bright / it doesn't get very bright. A 100w equivalent version of this bulb would be amazing.
- EVERY COLOR YOU CAN THINK OF! anything you want can be done through the app!
- Full RGB color control with very vibrant colors.
- 7 watt bulb produces 600 lumens (only in white mode though).
- The color mode is VERY DIM only about 300 lumens max. This is very disappointing.
- The RGB LEDs is are not matched properly. If you put them all at full power, the color should be white, but instead you get a very light purple known as "ghost white"
- Very bright, maybe a little more so than I need
- Can turn off the lights from bed or other room. Can set a timer for what time of the day you want the lights to turn on/off (not in 12 hour format).
- You can control the brightness level and the color and the speed if changing from one color to another or strobing.
- The warm setting is very close to the warm color of a normal incandescent bulb but just a shade whiter. I really like the color it has on the normal warm setting.
- Certain colors it has trouble producing, but most are very good.
- This is not what I expected. The cold white color is not as brilliant as you can expect for a 70 watts equivalent bulb, even if you set it to 100% brightness.
- Bulb was easy to install like normal and app was simple and easy to download.
- Take pictures of something with a color you like and the app will load it into the bulb!
- Will even react to music through the app!
- Has sunrise/sunset feature, allowing the white lights to slowly come on or go off at a time and duration you can specify.
- Music dance feature is alittle twitchy and inaccurateю
- App could be slightly more configurable.
- Very easy guided set up once you get the right app. Works great with mobile devices, Alexa, and IFTTT
- Can dance to your music from your phone. Can switch colors (7 color cycle & you can set the pace).
- Alarms - I have an alarm set in the morning for my light to strobe, I also have an alarm set for when I come home from work at lunch time that my lights turn on.
- Mic mode - I am a DJ, so I put this light at the spot where I am DJing at and turn the light onto Mic Mode and the Flux bulb flashes and changes color to the beat of the music.
- Alexa integration can't control color yet. Edit (7/24/17): A relatively recent update enabled this to work!
- Occasionally I'll switch modes and nothing happens until I rescan for bulbs, no API for Tasker integration.
- No way to setup or control bulb from a computer (unless you use 3rd party script noted above but only for control not setup).
