- I'd say this is a medium capacity cooker - the same unit comes in a larger size if you prepare big meals.
- I've also found the 4-quart capacity to be perfect for my boyfriend and I (with ample leftovers).
- We have had one of these in the larger size for a number of years and have used it many times. It works great. This one is exactly the same design, just smaller capacity. Just as heavy duty as its larger cousin.
- The unit has high, low and warm temperatures, and you can program the high and low independently.
- The upside to the lower temperatures is that some foods that would fall apart, get mushy, or overcooked in other slow cookers do not do so in this unit. So if you make a few ajustments, this works fine.
- Perfect capacity for my purposes along with the ability to saute.
- Use this every week at least once, and it has a nice, large capacity.
- We thought this would be a great slow cooker, given the four levels of heating and the timer, but we were sadly disappointed.
- The only downside is that, due to its large capacity, it can take longer for a good simmer to get going.
- I never felt the temperature was right as even on high food took longer to cook than my old unit.

- 4 quarts is a super convenient size. The controls are not that bad to learn, once you read the instructions and use them a couple times, you're set.
- Just the right size for the two of us. Cooks evenly and wash up is a breeze.
- A few words of note about the size is also appropriate. I use this pot, primarily, to make "Red Beans and Rice", "Texas Chili" and soups of all types.
- The large slow cooker provides even heat for family size soups and other main dishes.
- I really like the size. I can make larger meals for my family.
- This is the perfect size for my family.
- I bought the 6.5 quart and so far, it’s been a perfect size.
- This is perfect size for a family of 2-4 depending on what you are cooking.
- The whole unit is light weight and for us older folks, that is a luxury.
- This thing takes up space - lots of counter space and storage space.
- It's programmable! Set it for a certain amount of time and temp (high/low) and it cooks for exactly that long, then switches automatically to the "warm" setting.
- One unique feature is that this slow cooker is programmable and at that, it has 3 different settings.
- This is first unit I've had with a programmable timer, but I did like the solid feel of the buttons.
- There is even cooking on all modes and the timer has been working great.
- It shut the heat off somewhere in the middle of the cycle but continued to indicate it was cooking.
- Terrible user interface: confusing, even after reading an instruction booklet. they made the mistake of many newly digital appliances and made a row of identical buttons, each with different function, that must be used in particular sequences that are not intuitive.
- This is a very slow slow-cooker. the "low" setting is so slow that it cannot cook beans overnight. the "high" setting does a decent job. i don't know what the low setting would be for. even at the high setting, very little bubbling can be seen.
- I like it really well. It cooked nicely and didn't seem to have any hotspots. I like the settings that it gives you opportunity to choose.
- I used this crock pot a handful of times before the ceramic portion split in half while cooking. Cuisinart customer service is terrible and they refused to replace it.
- After five uses the bottom of the crock cracked and fell out during use. It had never been dropped or hit and was only hand washed.
- We thought this would be a great slow cooker, given the four levels of heating and the timer, but we were sadly disappointed.
- Worked great for about a year and then quit. Too many bells and whistles. Get a simple one and use a separate timer.
