- The speed settings cover a wide range from to slow to warp speed.
- Has a dial so you can set your speed and increase if you want just remember to turn the dial back down when you put it away so you don't try to start a new project only to have the setting to be way faster than needed.
- It has adjustable speeds for polishing and buffing. It works great with the Chemical Guys Hex Logic pads and hook and loop backing plate.
- Tons of adjustment available in speed of it so it's not hard to make it work for whatever use you've got for it.
- Good tool, holds Torque pretty well at low speed. Has universal shaft so heads/pads can be sourced easily. Comes with 6" adhesive backer pad. Very comfortable to use.
- It works but we have out less than an hour in to the buffer pad and it split in to pieces and flew off pad cover and all.
- The adjustable 6 speeds makes a huge difference. I highly recommend this if you're someone that puts a lot of time and effort into taking care of your own vehicles
- I like the variable speed. I can easily change it with a little thumb action. I learned the hard way to start off slow and then select a faster speed.
- The PorterCable Random-Orbit Polisher is one great polisher. The variable speed is a plus. No fear of "burning" through the paint with this unit. You can hold your hand against the head of this unit with no danger to your skin, amazing.
- Great economical buffer for car detailing. Variable speed is great, power is great....no complaints.
- The random orbital is much better than a circular polisher for applying and removing wax and polish since it will avoid burning the paint. This Porter Cable RO polisher is very well made, solid and powerful.
- Speed adjustment wheel is annoying. I really don't like that feature. Would make a lot more sense to put the dial where it can be reached by the thumb on top while buffing.
- While using the mechine it vibrates so bad it makes my hand go numb and is extremely loud!
- The porter cable is a very reliable machine but it lacks power and it can take a very long time to remove swirls and scratches.
- It fits perfectly and works well with the supplied balance weight.
- Very light and versatile. Easy to work for several hours.
- The machine is light enough to handle and not so overpowered that it runs away from you and gouges the project.
- It is a little bulky, so you will still have to hand polish in those tight areas around mirrors and such.
- OK and pretty easy to use but heavy.
- The balance and feel on this is perfect for cars. The size is not too big, and the power is more than adequate.
- This polisher did the trick. It's a perfect size and weight, I've never used a buffer before but this it was easy to use.
- This machine is light weight and easy to use.
- Easy to carry and the weight is perfect for one handed use.
- For hard polishing it can be light enough.
- Works very well and the including foam buffing wheel works great for getting scratches out of the finish.
- The pad that comes with it is nice but does not hold up worth a darn. Highly recommend purchasing a 6 inch hook and loop pad and a pad kit.
- It doesnt work as fast as a traditional rotary buffer but the resaults are perfect . I do usally start with a rotary buffer but I've done entire cars and trucks with just the porter cable random orbital too . love it
- Well made main unit but the foam attachment is cheap and shreds when used.
- I have purchased three of these in the past six months and out of that only one is still working. These used to be a quality tool. very disapointed
- The speed control is excellent and comes with a very long cord.
- The 12 speed settings (1-6 at 1/2 increments) make this polisher so dynamic and great for any project. With the right product & pad combination, almost any paint defect can be removed.
- I like the feature of the variable speed control and ability to change side of the polisher handle. Also is really quite quiet.
- If you apply too much pressure it will stop rotating and just vibrate. This is a great feature so that you don't burn through the paint but it doesn't allow for easy paint correction.
- Only comes with one buffing pad. Hard to find anyone that carriers buffing pads locally.
- Sometimes it can be tough to remove the polisher tools with the provided wrench. There is not much space between the tool and polisher.
