- It actually really works well and is clear. But I needed to use it for a meeting of 30 people so those at the back couldn't read the small print on the screen. Depends on what you want to use it for.
- This projector is great. very high brightness with a crisp projected image. Fan noise wasn't an issue for me as built-in speakers were loud enough. I would recommend it.
- This is my second AAXA. The first was the p300. I really liked it, but wanted something a bit brighter. Everything worked fine with the p300. The M5 meets my need except for some very irritating reason it will not let me project in presenter view using PowerPoint.
- The picture is bright and crisp and the yellow sprinkles stripes seem to fade away completely after warning up, color is great and contrast is ok. brightness is prefect even with lights on and curtains slightly open. Impressive!
- Image was not bright enough for my purposes I spend a couple hundred more for an Epson powerlite, it is as portable and a much better image quality.
- It's a great projector, lumens is perfect even in lighted areas
- I have it installed in my home theater which has a 120" screne, the colors are bright and crisp and contrast is great
- The DLP factor makes the difference, I trust Optoma since my lcd projector a Optoma 1691 model is also a very good projector. The reason that I switched to the ML 500 was for its led capability which extends lamp life for years to come.
- It's got great resolution, not just 640/480, like many of it's competitors
- Had to return this, wasn't as bright as I was hoping it would be.
- The 1080P is not native, keep that in mind when trying to switch something to 1080p Blurry as heck at 10ft in 1080p. 720p is more accurate. at 5-8 feet it's pretty crisp.
- Projects a large image with a very clear picture and the battery makes it easy to set up as there's no need to fuss around with cords or worry about an outlet nearby. Set up is qucik and simple if you want to connect to a laptop as well!
- This projector is great. very high brightness with a crisp projected image
- What's missing: zoom. it's got a superfast lens so if you want a small image, you can forget it, if you don't have space for close to the wall, or a big wall, forget it.
- Great projector. Small and lightweight. Throws a very large image from a short distance.
- Nice, small, portable. Extraordinarily short throw distance.
- Being a projector focused on mobile use having horizontal keystoning and a zoom function would be ideal so it can be placed in almost any environment.
- ML550 is not good if you need the display focused evenly which is not a big deal for movies.
- No zoom functionality is lacking
- Set up is qucik and simple if you want to connect to a laptop as well!
- Fan noise wasn't an issue for me as built-in speakers were loud enough. I would recommend it.
- The plastic housing is fine, but the plastic buttons on top are incredibly soft. When pressed, they sink a bit before registering the input.
- The M5 projector also features a wide variety of inputs/outputs but you'll most likely be using the HDMI and audio 3.5mm output the most.
- Has good connectivity. The speakers are pretty weak, but there is a jack for an external speaker.
- HDMI works and has been great for watching movies and playing XBOXONE.
- The comfort of having an LED light source with a 20,000 hour lamp life makes this a joy to own and use without any anxiety of trying to limit it's uses or worry about buying an expensive replacement bulb
- The USB port is powered, so I have been using a set of USB speakers.
- I needed a projector that was small, HD, USB, and had audio out from the projector
- Works fine however I would have liked for the audio jack to be directly on the projector and not a connection off the VGA cable.
- The image is great, but there is a big problem, the audio is terrible and there is no audio output for external speakers/headphones whatsoever.
- The LED bulb that was supposed to last 20,000 hours went very dim at just under 2,000 hours
- Battery life is ok. You won't get through a feature, but you'll get through an episode of Law and Order. If you have a Chromecast, you can plug it right into the HDMI, but the on-board USB port won't have enough power for the it—you'll have to plug the Chromecast in to the wall adapter.
- The battery is sensational. i watched an entire f1 race on the battery alone and no fan. excellent!!!
- It is incredibly small, and comes with a decent case that holds all the cords nicely
- The projector is truly small with an equally small power cord.
- The projector comes with a very nice travel zip-up bag with the Optoma logo on it, a small power supply that comes apart at the power box so it is a total of 2 cords
- Power adaptor is large for such small projector and with the power cord just as big as ML1000, I dont bring it out most of time, but when I do want to, it's quite heavy and big to bring wth me with the power adaptor and cable
