- The Bolt recognizes my T.V. is UHD and drives it in full 3840x2160 60P resolution regardless of program content (upscales the HD to UHD).
- Dumped my cable company's DVR and down scaled to local stations only. What a dramatic improvement ! The Bolt recognizes my T.V. is UHD and drives it in full 3840x2160 60P resolution regardless of program content (upscales the HD to UHD).
- Love the speed, the commercial skip, the ability to add a hard drive to enlarge storage.
- The video resolution sometimes changes depending upon the apps I'm using. For example, my Amazon Video looks a lot rougher than other devices. Upscale to the set resolution, please!
- I've had the Tivo Bolt for almost a month, records, plays back good, shows national channels, ABC, NBC CBS etc. good Hi Definition but not as good 4K as my 4K flat panel TV, was disappointed with Tivo not having as good 4K Hi-Def picture.
- The larger hard drive is very very much worth it. We will not run out of space.
- I have been a tivo customer since 2000. This is my 4th DVR. My old one still works but the external hard drive hooked up to the old one stopped working which is why I bought the new one.
- The Roamio Pro is awesome - snappy interface, huge hard drive, 6 tuners, great interaction with ipad/iphone, and smart interface. I've been using Tivo since the beginning, and this is the first box that I can't live without.
- Each new version of Tivo keeps improving on the last and the Roamio is no exception. Huge hard drive to store your favorites, the interface is easy for the beginner or the Tivo junkie like me.
- With the Roamio Pros six tuners and 3TB hard drive, there is no need to pick what and choose what recordings are staying and what needs to be deleted to free up space. Love the 1080P too.
- Great DVR overall, better than the Genie. Perfect forward and advance feature if set at 1080i while watching cable.
- I absolutely LOVE my TIVO. Return your Comcast DVR. X1 is just a bad imitation of this! The commercial skip is my favorite function. It just works.
- I do like alot of the features like commercial skip, watching my amazon movies and being able to record more than 2 shows with lots of storage space.
- There are many things that are great about the TIVO Bolt, record 4 shows at once, scheduled recordings, guide viewing and Skip is one of the best features ever.
- The skip feature is great, but not consistent - sometimes it is available and sometimes not, even on the same show.
- Works fantastically in the home. Also works well outside, but be aware that any premium channel (HBO, Showtime, etc.) sets a flag on their channels that prevents streaming from the Roamio to your smartphone or tablet.
- Content providers (Showtime and HBO) do not allow for out-of-home watching or downloading of content. I wanted to watch House of Lies on my iPad and no dice. This is a big issue for me and wish I knew before....not that it would have changed anything, it's still many times better than any other DVR.
- The OnePass recording feature is great! You can set it to record just the latest, just one season, or everything that it can find for a show! The search feature is fast, and always seems to find exactly what I am looking for, whether it is on broadcast TV, cable, premium services, or online content.
- The integration with netflix and amazon prime are both, and convenient to get them all in one place. Remote works well and has a good feel (unlike the new comcast X1 remote which is awful to hold).
- My primary reason for going with TiVo was the ability to watch content anywhere. Well, you can't do that with most premium content. If I were to start over, I'd probably go wit the regular Cox solution.
- Happy with the Bolt features. What it REALLY needs is what Comcast beat Tivo to the punch with, Voice remote. The xfinity remote channel and search with voice would be a great feature to have.
- The integration between TV, Netflix, Amazon, etc... is great and works pretty well. It's definitely nice being able to go through different sources seamlessly with one box and one interface.
- The search engine is clear, user friendly and also excellent.
- The interface is on par with the very excellent DirecTv Genie...very user friendly.
- The Warranty is for one year, BUT only the first 30 days have free parts and labor. The remaining year you pay labor and parts. (NOT GOOD)
- The BOLT does NOT have a screen saver.....if you freeze it to take a call and then get involved, the picture with be glued on your TV until the TV or the BOLT shuts off due to non use. Could be hours. SERIOUSLY!!!!? Yes!
- The remote is smaller than most cable company remotes but well laid out. It uses radio frequency in addition to infrared, so you don't need to have line of sight to the DVR for commands to go through.
- I like the new remote control as well...nice and compact, but still the time-tested design so I can easily remember where all of the important buttons are by touch.
- The remote is great, I just wish all the remotes have the same layout. I may buy two Roamio remotes for all the sets.
- It is so cool to be able to watch on the ipad recorded shows , both in the house or remotely at a place that has wifi.
- The RF remote is a very welcome addition as I have my Roamio in a closet and did not want to run IR extenders.
- It connects easily to the TV, requiring 1 HDMI cord. Connecting the series 2 13 years ago was way more complicated.
- The iOS app allows me to delete content from the Bolt, love it.
- We have loved TiVo for a long time. This one gives us great connecting to streaming accounts and we love Skip!!!
- It was easy to connect it to ours tv and network.
- Got our unit 2 months ago. Our cable provider is Comcast. Connected via Ethernet. Loses connection and won't reboot. So I have to unplug the unit and plug it back in. I have to do this at least once a week and sometimes twice a week.
- Also, make sure you have a Wired or MoCA connection. The built-in WiFi adapter is nice, but won't perform well with the Mini's and Out of Home access.
- It works much better with connecting to the previous model than the old Series 2 to Series 2 units.
- I can stream live video on my iPad, anywhere there's a WiFi connection with my TiVo app!
- Also, love that I can download my shows to my iPad and then take it with me without being connected to the Internet. Also, I can stream to my iPad and use the app to schedule recordings.
- I just connected the Tivo Roamio Pro to one Coax cable (this was the cable going to my fios dvr set top box) and then connected the coax cable that was connected to my other fios set top box to the tivo mini for the 2nd tv.
