- I even used a cheapo ratty microphone with it and the quality of the audio was phenomenal. The built in mics are so sensitive and can pick up a mouse passing wind in the next room.
- It also has the ability to record four tracks of audio into a single recording, as well as be able to plug in multiple devices (guitar, mics, keyboards, ect) to different channels.
- Monitoring audio levels from various miss as well as the ability to be used as an audio interface is a great tool.
- The product offers many options, provides high quality audio and is easy to use.
- The mics are high quality. It takes a little bit of getting used to, but it's awesome to be able to put together 4 tracks like this.
- I recently purchased this H5, and it sounds amazing. The quality is close to my recordings with my condenser microphones.
- I can't always multi track so the H5 is exactly what I need to get a matrix recording. The XY pattern mics also get a great ambient recording. This is great for movie audio recording as well.
- I bought the Zoom - H5 Recorder for mobile recording and the sound quality is astounding. I appreciate the ability to interchange mic recording systems and the ability to record up to four tracks at once.
- Also has 4-track recording capability, and with included DAW software is very powerful. Received it before it was promised.
- Professional level audio, but really easy to use. The external mic catches room tone, while the XLR input gets the direct feed, so you can work with several channels.
- This recorder is industrial grade and it feels like it right out of the box. The options were numerous and setup was quick. Be aware that this recorder is hefty in size.
- The size of the H4n makes it handy without being too big or too small. The transport buttons are large enough for big fingers.
- Kinda bulky, but nice cameras arent the size of a walnut either so I'd say good work!
- This thing fantastic for its size, quality, options and its price. Many great features to explore.
- The quality of the recorded sound is great for a piece of equipment this size. For me this has helped make live recordings a real easy job.
- It is a little bulky but I do like the screen size and the rugged exterior finish.
- Audio was super clear, the battery lasted for the entire session (better part of a day on and off), and it was super easy to carry around. Can't wait to try it out on some other projects.
- The Zoom H5 is a fantastic little recorder. It feels great in the hand, and works really well as in the field.
- It comes with a protective plastic shell case, which is nicely sized to the device and not overly bulky.
- I am really quite impressed with this little unit. Not only does it have a solid look/feel, the size is reasonable, and the resulting sound/recordings are well within my expectations.
- The size is perfect to toss in your bag and always have pro audio available.
- Need some recording device to connect to our Yamaha CL5. was easy configuration to connect and sound was perfectly recorded.
- The recorder works as well as the other Zoom recorders, with clean preamps and nice features. Use it mostly for location and sound effects recording.
- For so many years I was just using a long cable with a solo mic attached to my camera but with this one is just so much better to have it station closer to my subject and get better audio and then just sync it on post or record straight to the video.
- The surround sound image of this device is incredible but if recording and simply touch or scratch the device lightly you hear it.
- I like this recorder. but the only issue I have with it was that I use the max 32 GB sd card and it always takes forever to boot. it works well .
- Great quality build and great sound. My only complaint is that it's the buttons and scroll wheel make things a little difficult to navigate. Other than that, it's great.
- Adjusting the input volume involves using actual knobs, which gives a nice, tactile feel. Navigating through the menu is easy, but a little strange with the button that is provided.
- It's very simple to use and has a myriad of inputs for adding microphones.
- H5 is very handy and great quality. It comes with everything you need to start right out of the box, even batteries and an SD card.
- The Zoom H5 is so easy to use. I pair it with my T5i and get clear audio. A must have
- Battery life is great, and the preamps work well for the price. Having physical knobs makes this well worth the purchase.
