Its understated and minimalistic aesthetic blends into most urban/casual outfits, so you do not look as dorky with this bag as people usually do with most backpacks.

At the same time, the bag is plenty secure. The cut-proof protection board will make sure that burglars are unable to quickly slash the backpack.

The hidden zippers and secret pockets will prevent people from discreetly unzipping the bag and easily identifying and stealing the contents.

Meanwhile, the RFIDsafe™ blocking pocket will make RFID readers ineffective, so you won't have to worry about protecting sensitive data.

The company's trademark reflective stripe adds aesthetic points, that goes without saying. The stripe also makes the bag visible during nighttime, reducing car accidents chances.

There are many pockets inside where you can separate and organize various items. You also have this front organizer compartment with phone and pen pockets and this nice little keyfob hook that keeps the keys safe and secure yet quickly accessible.

Like most backpacks, this one comes equipped with side mesh pockets where you can put bottles and snacks. These pockets are not that durable though, so we would definitely not recommend putting anything valuable there.

In short, when you're unable/unwilling to drop ~100+ bucks on a bag, this secure backpack is your best bet. Plus, it is more spacious than most anti-theft bags.

Travelon Anti-Theft Classic Backpack looks somewhat bland but there's nothing bland about this bag's anti-theft features.

First off, the slash-resistant straps incorporate these steel wire mesh panels that work wonders preventing slash-and-run theft.

We can extend the same sentiment towards the slash-resistant body that makes slash-and-grab theft pretty much impossible so you can walk the city's busiest areas without worrying about anything.

Considering that this anti-pickpocket bag is pretty affordable compared to these trendy safe backpacks that go above 100 bucks, we were surprised to find that the RFIDsafe™ blocking pockets have been added too, letting you store the phone there knowing that thieves with RFID readers won't be able to freely access your data.

Needless to say, sometimes thieves do not incorporate these sophisticated methods and try to access the stuff inside the bag the same way you would - through the zippers. The backpack's lockable zippers will prevent that, while the locking straps will make sure these criminals are unable to quickly snatch the bag and run away.

The main takeaway here is that, despite its unassuming (yet relatively charming, with clean and even somewhat elegant lines and forms) appearance, this backpack with back pockets is as secure as most high-end anti-theft bags.

Outjoy Anti-Theft Laptop Backpack looks clean and subtle enough to even make business outfits work with the bag. Despite its streamlined appearance though, the backpack is convoluted and feature-rich enough to tussle with most anti-theft bags.

Its capacity is pretty limited, measuring ~2.9 gallons (~11 liters) but that's not something we can hold against the product given the "laptop" remark in the name there, meaning that this bag was designed to accommodate laptops before anything and everything else. On that note, you'll have no issues fitting standard (<15.6-inch) laptops and (<10-inch) tablets inside this bag.

The cut-proof protection board will make sure that thieves won't be able to easily slash this small backpack and run away with the contents. Meanwhile, the lockable zippers will prevent them from quickly and easily accessing these contents without using any sharp objects.

In addition to the integrated USB charging port that these anti-theft bags often come equipped with, this slim backpack features a phone holder built into the left shoulder strap. As long as you don't use this thing too frequently (the strap is not that durable), you'll be able to comfortably charge the phone without even holding it.
