What customers say about "Key Specs"
Warn ZEON 8-S (89305) Winch with Synthetic Rope
- This winch with the Synthetic Rope is about 25 lbs lighter than one with a steel cable.
- The rope is more difficult to install on the spool than a cable is, but once installed you don't need to worry about kinking the cable.
- Super expensive. Very elite brand. But so glad I went for it. Thing is built to last a lifetime. WARN is in a class by itself. Nothing compares. Synthetic rope almost too good to be true.
- I have a 2014 Jeep Wrangler 2 door and I have never gotten stuck and use this thing for any application I can as I do not get stuck and this thing is a total beast. It pulls fast and sounds powerful. I have not found something it will not pull.
- The synthetic rope is excellent, but note that it comes 'separately' in the box, and you will need to thread it onto the drum yourself. This is not as easy as it sounds.
- Failed first time I used it. Well under rating. Gears froze motor turned but rope was not pulled in.
Warn ZEON Platinum 10-S (92815) Winch
- This thing is a beast. I bought mine to go on my 2014 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited. I have a lot of custom mods, including a custom fabricated stubby bumper
- The reason I bought it was after my rugged ridge 8,000 lbs winch failed me in the trail. Most winches have a port on the winch to connect a wired remote for operation.
- This is simply the best winch on the market! It will pull you out of ANY mess you may have gotten yourself into.
- As advertised. Good winch, this thing is massive. Love the remote control. Haven't used it yet except to roll the line on.
- Awesome winch, I've used it twice now on 2 recoverys and it worked flawlessly on my tacoma.

What customers say about "Features"
Warn ZEON 8-S (89305) Winch with Synthetic Rope
- It was quick and easy to install. The new sleek design looks like it was made for my 2013 Jeep Wrangler.
- The included remote is fine, and looks like it will hold up to rough use, but at this pricepoint, it would be nice if wireless became standard.
- Awesome winch comes with everything needed to mount to your carrier. Has roller fairlead and remote as well. Also comes with a tag line with warn logos to pull winch or help spool it back up without putting your fingers near the spool.
- The brake does hold.
- My only issue so far is the actual mounting plate. It says it fits a standard class 3 - 2" receiver. In truth the Outside diameter of the mounting tube is 1 7/8 inch at the most. that makes if fit VERY loose.
Warn ZEON Platinum 10-S (92815) Winch
- I got the zenon platinum for its water proof. I tend to go in a lot of water. Warns are very reliable and probably the best winches ever.
- Great winch. Remote makes this actually fun to use.
- Great build quality and mounted like any other Zeon. Haven't had to use it yet, and will update rating at that time.
- Awesome tool. The only concern is that the Fairlead is not Polished aluminum any longer.
- The winch is nice, but I am slightly miffed that my clean install now has to utilize a bunch of extra wire, relays, and such to have an alternate path to power the lights. I'm not going to mess with the remote and 4+ button pushes while driving to switch them on.
