The crusher incorporates a nice little loading tray that will allow you to load up to 6 cans at a time. This way, it doesn't just serve as a crusher but also as a little storage facility. It is able to crush cans to about an inch.
Some users find the handle inconvenient.

Plus, the model's surprisingly attractive, at least for a tool like that. It meshes well with any contemporary and modern interior, so it won't be an eyesore for even the most particular homeowners.

Both the body and the joints feature a heavy-gauge all-steel construction, so the product should be able to last a lifetime without breaking or deforming. The paint wears off relatively quickly, so the tool loses its attractive appearance.

Not Just a Crusher
With Basic Industries International 77703 (could've used a better name, guys, just saying), making a conscious effort to reduce your environmental footprint has never been easier. It isn't the cheapest crusher on the market right now but there's a very simple and justifiable reason for the slightly elevated price.
In short, the model incorporates a nice little loading tray that will allow you to load up to 6 cans at a time. This way, it doesn't just serve as a crusher but also as a little storage facility.
Other than that, there isn't that much to it. Some people may like its light blue finish, which is a nice change of pace from the usual black or silver. What's also interesting is that, despite the loading tray, it doesn't really take up more space than your typical can crusher, adding up to more or less the same 5.8 x 8 x 18 inches in overall dimensions.
Not exclusive to this particular model but more or less exclusive to mid-range and high-end crushers is an automatic ejection mechanism that, surprise, surprise, automatically injects cans into a container.
It is just as good at crushing cans as the next model, able to reduce them to about an inch. Plus, its all-steel construction makes the tool durable enough to serve you for years to come.
To sum it up, Basic Industries International 77703 takes household recycling to a whole new level. Against this thing, no can stands a chance. On top of everything else, the model's actually rather attractive, at least for a tool like that. It meshes well with any contemporary and modern interior, so it won't be an eyesore for even the most particular homeowners.

Fun for the Whole Family
The folk at Dial Industries claim that this product is 75% easier than just about any other crusher. And though that's a bit of a bold claim, we can't say that it is entirely inaccurate.
Equipped with a patented pivoting mechanical system, this tool automatically drops cans into a container when it is done crushing them. Thanks to this system, you won't have to pick up crushed cans (which are often sharp) and throw them into the bin manually. It doesn't just make the model a safer option but also a fun thing for kids to play with and help the environment at the same time. On top of that, the crusher incorporates a safety-lock mechanism that locks the crushing platform, so your kids won't harm themselves even without your supervision.
For the most part, the model is, at the very least, just as effective as the next crusher. It is capable of turning around 4 bags of uncrushed 12-ounce cans into but a single bag. If we had to point out its flaws, we really wouldn't be able to think of anything other than that the mounting screws that come with the crusher are a little weak, so we would recommend using your own.
Apart from that, this can crusher from Dial Industries doesn't leave a lot of room for complaints. Considering that it is easily as effective as the next crusher, doesn't take up a lot of space, and is a whole lot safer than most of its peers, we'd be able to recommend the model to just about any environmentally conscious customer.

Recycling Made Easy
The thing that prevents most people from recycling and reducing their environmental footprint is, more often than not, just how inconvenient the whole thing is. Well, with this crusher from McKay, it is about to become a whole lot less inconvenient.
For one, its all-metal construction is really durable, so you won't be forced to replace it in the foreseeable future. It mounts to just any solid surface, be it a wall or a table. All of the hardware that's required for its installation is already included in the package. Like most of these things, the model comes equipped with a large cushion grip handle and a built-in bottle opener.
But, dissimilar to most of its competition, this tool doesn't just work with cans. That's right, calling it a can crusher is actually a little reductive because the tool is also capable of crushing 16-ounce plastic bottles.
On paper, that alone makes the model better than most similar options. But it does have its flaws too. Most really aren't worth mentioning but the handle starts to loosen up and gets a little wobbly after some time, which is a little inconvenient, especially considering how durable the rest of the construction is.
Again, to rephrase our earlier point, with this can crusher from McKay, recycling is about to become a whole lot easier and less inconvenient for you. As far as performance is concerned, the model does not trail behind its competition. But it is definitely more versatile than the latter.

Keeping It Simple
For the most part, BuffaloTools CNCRSH is the easiest, most basic crusher there is. And we like it for it. At the end of the day, these things are supposed to be simple and easy. First, its silver-ish construction with a slight blue shade makes it a good addition to just about any kitchen décor. The black frame and the handle make for a nice contrast, sprucing up its otherwise bland appearance.
Everything that you'll need to put the crusher together already comes with the package. What we really like are the 4 wooden mounting screws that, again, come with the crusher and easily hold the whole thing together, so you won't have to waste a whole lot of your time on installation.
As far as the actual crushing is concerned, there isn't much to cover here. It does its job and it does it well. The only thing we don't particularly enjoy about it is the fact that it only fits standard 12-ounce cans. Sure, that covers the majority of cans, but there are also plenty 16-ounce cans out there and you will have to pre-crush those on your own before you'll be able to put them in the crusher.
That said, there's an upside to it. With around 5 x 3 x 12 inches in overall dimensions, it is easily one of the most compact household crushers on the market right now.
In other words, BuffaloTools CNCRSH keeps things simple. You put the bottle in, you grab the cushion grip handle, you crush the can. It is a straightforward and affordable way to reduce your environmental footprint without putting in too much effort.

No Can is Safe
There is a lot to like about this model from Vanitek. First of all, the whole thing is really small. It adds up to precisely 4 x 3 x 13 inches in overall dimensions, making it one of the most compact household crushers. On top of that, both the body and the joints feature a heavy-gauge all-steel construction, so the product should be able to last a lifetime without breaking or deforming.
Most household can crushers only work with 12-ounce cans. That isn't the case here. In addition to those standard 12-ounce containers, the model just as well handles 16-ounce cans, reducing them to about 20% of the original size. The lever handle is soft and simple. Plus, it is equally suitable for left- and right-handed users.
Not exclusive to this particular model but one thing we really like about the crusher is that it is also a bottle opener. At the bottom of the tool, you'll find the "teeth" that easily pop beer bottles.
For the most part, the tool looks really good, with a sleek and minimalistic profile that, at the very least, wouldn't stand out in a negative way. That said, the paint wears off relatively quickly, so the crusher loses its otherwise attractive appearance after some time. Not a huge loss but we still felt like it was worth mentioning.
All in all, this model Vanitek is a great can crusher. It doesn't just limit you to 12-ounce cans. It doesn't look bad. The handle is really soft and convenient. It is really easy to install and it does not take away a whole lot of space.

What Is a Can Crusher?
We don't mean to be preachy or particularly judgemental but the Earth is already polluted enough, wouldn't you say? We don't reckon that treating this blue marble that we all share a little better would hurt now, would it? If that sounds reasonable to you, we couldn't recommend a can crusher highly enough.
In case the name itself isn't enough of a giveaway, a can crusher is a simple tool that makes crushing aluminum cans easy and effortless. As you'd imagine, it's a particularly great tool for people who prefer to drink their drinks from cans (more often than not, soda cans). Crushing multiple cans every single day without an instrument like that takes a lot of time and effort. But it is something that you really have to do to make recycling easier for the people who do it.
As we've said earlier, these are simple tools, so you should be able to find the right model without any suggestions. That said, keep in mind that, unlike commercial machines, most household crushers only work with standard 12-ounce cans, so make sure to grab the one that also works with 16-ounce cans if you often purchase those as well.
With a can crusher, you can go ahead and invest in a beverage refrigerator with a clear conscience.
