The height adjustment range does not match the advertised.
These two ceiling mounted racks measure 3 x 6 feet each, making the product an excellent choice for sizable garages with tons of stuff but not enough ground real estate to sort that stuff out. With these racks, you'll be able to keep that stuff neat and organized.

The powder-coated finish makes the rack pretty much impervious to rust and resistant to scratches. In addition to the rack, you can purchase compatible hanging bars, multi-purpose hooks, and small-sized J-hooks. They will let you hang umbrellas, strollers, bikes, snowboards, and more.
The mounting hardware is pretty flimsy.
NewAge Products Storage Rack will accommodate most items, from tool boxes to different storage boxes to tires to sporting equipment. You'll be able to adjust the rack's length and make the product suitable even for relatively crammy garages.

The powder-coating finish is not scratch-resistant.
FLEXIMOUNTS Overhead Garage Storage Rack is strong and more universal than most. It is compatible not only with solid concrete ceilings but also with ceiling studs. The installation template will let you assemble the rack with ease and limited effort investments.

The grade-eight case-hardened lag bolts ensure the most secure and reliable connection between the ceiling and the rack. The waterfall-like wire decking makes the rack easy to assemble without any risks and in a reduced time frame.
The maximum load capacity is not that impressive.
You can choose between different MonsterRax Overhead Rack versions that feature drop-length adjustment ranges from 12" - 21" to 24" - 45". Even the spaces with the lowest ceilings will be able to accommodate this rack.

The 14-gauge steel construction makes sure the rack will not start warping with time under high loads. The mounting hardware comes with the box, so you'll be able to assemble and install the rack without purchasing anything separately.
The entire construction does not feel especially sturdy.
Aside from garages, FLEXIMOUNTS Storage Rack will fit small workshops to a tee. The price's right, the rack's high length will be enough to hold more tools and accessories than you can shake a stick at, and the integrated grid design will enable quick and easy assembly.

Integrated Grid
Despite the name, FLEXIMOUNTS Storage Rack is anything but flexible. Normally, that's something we would criticize but we are not going to apply that criticism here. The integrated grid design makes the construction less flexible, sure, but also easy to assemble and much more stable and tough compared to racks with separate frames and wires. The included step-by-step diagrams with the installation template will allow even the least DIY-inclined customers to assemble this one within 10-15 minutes.
But, going back to the "tough" part, what drives the product's value forward first is the heavy cold-rolled steel construction that will be able to provide safety loading up to ~600 pounds. Even the screws that come with the box are robust and durable through the roof, subjected to strict tests along with the entire hardware package.
The rack will supposedly let you adjust the height from 22 to 40 inches but this height adjustment range does not always match the numbers, so you might not be able to regulate the height as much.
On the upside is the storage system's universal compatibility that allows you to attach the rack to different ceiling joists, from ceiling studs to solid concrete ceiling. With all that in mind, these two racks/shelves are what you need to maximize storage space and organize everything inside that space.
Space Efficiency
NewAge Products Storage Rack looks pretty tough, partially thanks to the Hammertone Gray finish. This unique gray shade will be able to add character to most garages. That being said, you can also go with the high-gloss white to make the rack look clean and more neutral, the tone that will blend into any space. Both options are made from heavy-duty, 13-gauge steel and come adopting this powder-coated finish that not only adds aesthetic points and makes sure these points last but also makes the rack resistant against rust and scratches, extending its service life.
Even so, the biggest difference between this product and its competition within this lineup is the fact that you can adjust not only the height, anywhere between 18 and 42 inches, but also the rack's length, from 72 to 96 inches. That means the rack will be able to accommodate most units, from compact garages to large spaces.
From where we're standing, the product's downsides are limited to the mounting hardware that is not as sturdy and durable as the rack, so we'd probably recommend replacing the screws within the next ~5 years. Besides that, NewAge Products Storage Rack dunks on most overhead garage storage solutions, with its fully adjustable dimensions and high (600 pounds) load capacity.
A Whopping 600 Pounds
FLEXIMOUNTS Overhead Garage Storage Rack is pretty tremendous. First off, the rack measures 96 x 48 inches, so you'll be able to put there the most massive items. In fact, the rack will be able to accommodate multiple sizable and heavy items since its load capacity reaches a whopping 600 pounds.
Primarily, that's the case thanks to the integrated grid design that welds the frame and the wire grid tight, making the unit much more durable than racks with separated frames and wire grids. But, sure, that's also the case courtesy of the 14-gauge steel that the whole thing is constructed from. Even the mounting hardware that comes with the box is no joke, packing M8 screws that are basically immune to rust and can hold the advertised load till the cows come home. The only part that does not share this sentiment is the powder-coated finish that does make the rack virtually immune to rust and corrosion too but is not as scratch-resistant as we would like.
Aside from all that, you cannot adjust the rack's width and length but you can regulate the height, starting from 22 inches and lowering the construction to 40 inches if necessary. So, as long as you don't mind scratches here and there, you'll probably like the FLEXIMOUNTS Overhead Garage Storage Rack and what this rack can do in terms of storing seasonal/unused items.
Safe and Secure
Before tackling anything else, MonsterRax Overhead Rack is not the company's sole/exclusive rack and you can purchase different versions, with different drop-length options, going from 12 - 21 inches to 24 - 45 inches, the one we're reviewing here. Generally speaking, we have nothing but good things to say about this rack except that its load capacity measures 500 pounds, more than most people need and are able to utilize but 50-100 pounds less than the product's competition within this selection, so we're forced to deduct points.
We're also forced and glad to give these points back to the rack thanks to its grade-eight case-hardened lag bolts that make sure the connection between this overhead garage storage rack and the ceiling is more than safe and secure. In addition to these bolts, the heavy-duty wire decking with its waterfall-like profile will also enable quick, easy, and safe assembly, so you'll be able to put this one together even if you're not into the whole DIY shtick. The step-by-step instructions are informative and not hard to follow too.
Bottom line, this is the rack that you can trust with the most precious heavy items, from sporting equipment to different power tools that you do not use on a regular basis.
Good Enough
FLEXIMOUNTS racks are always tough and sturdy but this one does not feel as sturdy as the ones we've reviewed above, hence the last spot on the list. Having said that, compared to most overhead garage storage racks, this one is still more impressive across the board. Its 14-gauge steel construction is resistant to warping and bending. The powder-coated finish makes the rack practically immune to scratches and makes sure to eliminate issues with rust and corrosion spreading throughout the grid. Plus, not unlike the company's preceding racks, this one adopts an integrated grid design, so you'll be wasting less time assembling the rack than you would with models that have separate wire grids and frames.
The rack measures 96 x 36 inches, less wide than most racks within this selection but about as long, making this one more suitable for garages with less available real estate ceiling. What's more, the rack allows you to adjust the drop-length between 22 and 40 inches, so you'll be able to install this one even inside garage spaces with low ceilings.
To sum this up, FLEXIMOUNTS Storage Rack is good enough to make the list and outshine most overhead garage storage racks, with its 550-pound maximum load capacity and adjustable drop-length.
What Is an Overhead Garage Storage Rack?
We all like to put everything and anything we need and probably don't need in a garage. That's why that is usually any home's most cluttered space. Aside from that, garages are usually pretty small, so you normally run out of space sooner rather than later. That's where overhead garage storage racks can help.
These racks can be attached to the ceiling, which is where you usually have almost endless free space. They allow you to maximize storage space and make the garage seem less cluttered and more spacious. Garages are not usually climate-controlled, meaning that items on the floor can get dirty, wet, and are more likely to come into contact with rodents and insects (unless you install garage door thresholds). What's more, when these items are stored overhead, you'll always be able to avoid flood damage. Setting all these organization advantages aside, good racks are able to hold massive loads (500-600 pounds), so you can even hang bicycles, strollers, and snowboards onto them (though you'll likely have to purchase the hooks separately since they're not usually supplied with the racks).
These pegboards will also let you utilize space that you do not normally use (the walls) and make the tools more accessible, while these garage floor tiles will make sure to support the items on the ground.
