What customers say about "Size & Weight"
Shure SRH840 Professional Monitoring Headphones - Black
  • They are very comfortable, light, and very easy to carry around.
  • They are very soft and comfortable, no pressure points and I wear them for hours without any discomfort. They are also quite light which helps big time.
  • They are quite comfortable: they don't squeeze too tight and the weight is not noticeable.
  • They are not light in weight so be prepared for that if you are not used to full sized, closed back headphones.
  • These are a bit too heavy and maybe some people might find that a deal-breaker.
Shure SRH940 Professional Reference Headphones (Silver)
  • Also these headphones are lightweight & comfortable enough for me to get the job done.
  • I have a rather large head and these headphones extend to perfect fit for quite large and quite small heads.
  • I have a small-ish sized head and I find that the 940's are most comfortable with the headband set at size 2 (out of 10) on both sides, so I think the 940's will fit on most heads.
  • One thing you should know about it is it is little bit heavy.
  • Only complaint I might have is that these phones are on the bulky side and are somewhat heavy, but build quality and comfort of the ear cup padding help make up for that.

What customers say about "Features"
Shure SRH840 Professional Monitoring Headphones - Black
  • The bass is balanced well with the detailed highs and the mids are very warm and present. Brilliant.
  • The cable seems to be very durable, and it can be stretch a long distance so it wont tangle over my neck those few times when I walk with them.
  • I like that the audio jack twists into the port on the side of the headphone and locks.
  • Great sound for recording lightweight easy to plug in to mixeruse all the time many other uses karaoke practice etc.
  • The extra padding on top means even when wearing these for hours at a time they won't hurt your head despite the considerable size and weight.
Shure SRH940 Professional Reference Headphones (Silver)
  • If you like light and clear sounds, this is the best investment.
  • These headphones include very nice accessories such as two detachable cables, 1 coiled, 1 straight, 1/4 trs adapter, case, and extra ear pads! That's what I call a professional package!
  • Foldable design and removable cables. These were easy to fold up and carry with me in my backpack to and from work every day.
  • The design is extraordinarily plastic-y. Not as bad as sennheisers, but they are guilty of feeling a tad bit cheap.
  • The build quality of the headband is stupid, the headband is all hard plastic but breaks easily.
