Built to Take Heat
Cosori Premium Coffee Set delivers on that "premium" premise as much as the next mug warmer and mug set. It is the little things as well as major details that make the set stand out from the otherwise unremarkable crowd. Both elements (the warmer and the mug) look good, are functional, and incorporate the most durable and practical materials available today.
Let's start with the mug. Its BPA-free and food-grade 304 stainless steel build is everything a mug like that is supposed to incorporate on the composition side. The quality stainless steel is particularly resistant to rust and corrosion. The mug features a nice slip-resistant sleeve that provides a comfortable and firm grip.
The handle is as heat-resistant as they come, keeping the heat in the cup and letting you grab the cup whenever you want without worrying about scorching your fingers. In short, the mug is built to take heat and remain as practical as possible in the meantime.
Last but not least, its 17-ounce capacity offers more than enough room for your favorite drink. The lid that comes equipped with a spoon opening is part of the package too, a nice little additional detail to an already appealing deal.
The Winning Combination
Pretty much everything we've said about the mug can be translated to the electric mug warmer as well. It looks sleek and stylish, mimicking the mug's black and silver combination that will be able to mesh well with just about any modern kitchen. It is just as reliable and durable as its cup companion.
The model's high-tech PI film heating element lets the warming plate go up to 230°F. The average temperatures that it is able to support will range from 77 to 158 degrees Fahrenheit (the plate and beverage temperatures vary due to thermal balance). The stainless steel here is just as durable and long-lasting as it is in the mug.
The spill-resistant plate is particularly easy to clean, making the product especially convenient on the maintenance front. Now, as far as practicality is concerned, there isn't much here to complain about too. The touch-tech controls are comfortable and accessible. The LED screen presents every necessary piece of information. You can convert the temperature values from Fahrenheit to Celcius. The model's temperature readings are always precise (down to 1 degree).
In short, Cosori Premium Set is detailed to every degree. It offers better thermal conductivity and overall premium quality. The mug that comes with the warmer is just as practical, durable, and functional as the warming plate. It doesn't hurt that you can adjust the beverage temperature too.

The Right Details
Mr. Coffee MWBLKPDQ-RB Mug Warmer keeps things relatively simple. The model does not present nor incorporate anything we haven't seen before. And, to be honest, we've no issues with that. It is a nice little appliance and a practical tool that doesn't cost too much and will quickly pay for itself.
As far as we're concerned, the only problem with the product is that there's a slight burning smell at first. However, it goes away pretty quickly, so it isn't something to complain too much about.
Other than that, it is a quality warmer that is about as practical as they come. Its 17-watt heating element does not consume too much power. On the size front, the model is neither too small nor too large. Measuring 1.3" x 5.2" x 8.6" in overall dimensions, you shouldn't have any issues toting the warmer and taking it with you anywhere you go.
All in all, the product is about as portable as they come. It isn't just the size or its power consumption. It is many little details too, details that contribute to the model's overall practicality.
For example, the warmer comes with a relatively long (5 feet) cord. As you would imagine, longer cord means increased mobility. You won't have to worry about finding the socket that is close enough to the desk/tabletop.
Plenty Efficient
The model's slightly increased width and height, among other things, make it compatible with various mug styles and sizes. You'll be able to use it for coffee, tea, hot cocoa, and many more warm drinks. At the same time, we would recommend using traditional flat bottom mugs that don't have a lot of extra ceramic at the base where it makes contact with the unit.
Again, it is really all about the little details that make the product so practical in the first place. These little details include the indicator light that will alert you when the beverage gets hot. That light is right next to the on/off switch that is relatively small but, at the same time, accessible enough. There's very little chance you'll be accidentally pressing it every once in a while.
Other than that, there isn't much to add here. The ceramic surface is easy to wipe clean, so you shouldn't face any maintenance issues in the long run.
As for the model's appearance, there's nothing here that catches the eye. It doesn't look bad but not necessarily too interesting/attractive either.
Long story short, Mr. Coffee MWBLKPDQ-RB Mug Warmer is equally suitable for home and office use. You can always bring this portable model with you anywhere you go. It is able to produce 220+ degrees Fahrenheit while drawing approximately 17 watts, meaning the warmer is plenty efficient too.

Decorative but Functional Too
The people behind Norpro 5569 has dubbed the product a decorative cup warmer. As far as we're concerned, that description is accurate and inaccurate at the same time. The accurate part stems from the model's overall appearance. It definitely has that "decorative" look, with marble-like patterns making the warmer's plastic housing look stylish and sophisticated.
At the same time, "decorative" usually implies that the object doesn't deliver on the practical part and that's not the case here. In fact, the model is anything but impractical.
Let's start with the size, for instance. Measuring 1.5” x 5” x 5” in overall dimensions, this warming plate is as portable as they come. As you would imagine, the size makes it an excellent travel tool. It will work wonders in an office setting as well as in any dorm room.
The model's heating element measures 3.75". It will prove more than suitable for just about any cup. More often than not, you'll be able to wipe the element clean in one fell swoop.
As far as the product's downsides are concerned, there isn't much to complain about here. Some customers report that the heating element isn't always able to keep the drink hot but rather lukewarm at best. But, considering that the model is rated at 24 watts, this shouldn't be an issue.
Simple, Safe, Effective
The mug warmer comes equipped with this nice little on/off switch that features a power indicator. Naturally, that's not an issue. The issue is that the switch could've been positioned better. As it is (about 2 inches from the base of the unit), it can be a little tricky reaching the switch. On the bright side, the unit's plastic feet will not be able to damage the furniture.
Other than that, there isn't much to cover here. The aforementioned power indicator is neon-bright, which is a nice little plus. The model features an extra-long cord that measures 60", another little detail that works in the product's favor. You shouldn't have any issues finding the right spot for the warmer.
The product is UL approved, meaning that fire hazards are out of the question here. All in all, what we're dealing with here is a safe, practical, and functional tool. The heat plate gets up to 160 degrees around the edges and around 245 degrees in the center. The less liquid there is in the mug, the hotter it gets.
In conclusion, again, Norpro 5569 Decorative Cup Warmer is as decorative as it is practical and convenient. The model's attractive appearance is matched by its simple but effective functionality. You'll definitely be able to find enough space for it too.

Intelligent Warmer
The Nicelucky model is a little different compared to every other entry on the list. It is a little more expensive but the price makes sense considering everything that the product has to offer. As far as we're concerned, the model's intelligent automatic on/off is its biggest selling point.
Incorporating Microgravity induction bottom, the mug warmer is able to automatically detect the cup and control the temperature. It starts working the second you put the mug onto the heating element and stops working the very second you remove the mug.
The product comes supplied with this nice yellow ceramic mug. It is large enough, durable, and overall practical, partially thanks to the lid that also comes with the mug. The only issue we have with the mug (and probably the product in general) is that the aforementioned lid doesn't fit tightly to the mug, so we wouldn't recommend doing anything crazy like shaking and/or spinning the mug.
At the same time, the mug warmer is able to work with many other mugs/cups/containers. The heating element has no issues with metal, ceramic, enamel, tile, high-temperature plastic, glass, and just about any other mug surface material out there.
As per usual, the heating element measures 3.5" in diameter, so you'll be able to work with larger cups as well as smaller mugs.
Cool Where it Counts
As for the model's appearance/composition, there isn't anything we can complain about. The white, almost silver finish looks sleek and smooth. The plastic behind that finish is surprisingly durable. There are 4 non-skid feet at the warmer's bottom that support your mug and prevent spills. Plus, these feet make any surface suitable enough. They do not damage the surface nor do they leave any marks.
At the same time, the model is safe and reliable. The aforementioned heating element incorporates silicone. The internal heat insulation system keeps the surface cool to the touch.
The model draws no more than 15 watts, making the warmer really efficient too. Its low-energy constant temperature control system will be able to keep your drink at 131 degrees Fahrenheit.
Other than that, there isn't much to cover here. The warmer measures precisely 0.72" x 4.56"x 5.88" in overall dimensions, compact enough for our taste. The ~3.3-feet isn't too long but not too short either.
All in all, what Nicelucky presents here is probably the best mug warmer on the list from the safety/functionality perspective. Despite the sleek look, the model is surprisingly durable. The mug that comes with the package is nothing to complain about too.

Durable Lightweight Components
Home-X SH902 is pretty basic. The model does not necessarily differ that much from your average mug warmer. The biggest difference is that this particular model is much cheaper than that average warmer. The price really makes the product's case. But it isn't just the price.
We really like the model's aesthetic. Sure, on the surface level, it isn't necessarily something to write home about. But its sleek, low-profile design will likely be able to mesh well with your kitchen setting. Its lightweight but, at the same time, sturdy plastic build makes the warmer durable, reliable, and portable too.
The model adds up to 1.4" x 5.5" x 7" in overall dimensions, meaning you shouldn't have any issues finding enough tabletop/desktop space for it. The heating element's 3.5" diameter will be able to fit the largest ceramic/glass mugs.
The only issue we have with the model's overall build/construction is that there's no heat isolation at the device's base. Because of that, you have to be selective choosing the surface since the warmer will have no issues increasing its temperature. It's not a huge issue and its heated coasters will not be able to set any furniture piece on fire but we wouldn't mind seeing plastic feet in the model's next installment.
Not Just Warm Beverages
The model, just like any other half-decent mug warmer, will let you keep the morning coffee hot at your desk while you work or just as well keep a nice hot tea cup steamy while you relax on the couch. Naturally, it is just as suitable for cocoa and other warm beverages. At the same time, the model can be used to keep sauces and gravies warm/hot too. Last but not least, the device also works as a candle/wax warmer.
Drawing somewhere around 17 watts, the model is pretty efficient and will not be able to make any noticeable changes to your power bills.
The power cord is really long, that's another little detail that we like about this budget warmer. There's an on/off switch on that cord that features a bright red light indicator that lets you know when the device is hot or not. As far as we're concerned, these seemingly insignificant details make the model equally suitable for home and office use.
All things considered, Home-X SH902 is probably the best desk mug warmer under 10 bucks. The model is lightweight but durable. It is more or less equally suitable for camping, home, and office use. It is able to maintain the beverage's temperature and heat it up too.

What Is a Mug Warmer?
You want to have your favorite cup of joe, tea, or cocoa right there next to you, staying nice and hot for hours so you can enjoy it at your leisure. The issue is that it isn't possible without extra assistance. As far as we're concerned, mug warmers provide that extra assistance better than just about any other tool on the market today.
These little heating plates are able to keep your favorite warm drink at the right temperature for hours on end. At the same time, certain models will allow you to heat up the drink too. The biggest difference between these models is usually the overall package. However, there are many little details too, details that we will cover a little more in-depth in the "What to look for" section right below this one.
These guidelines and suggestions will help you pick the right electric mug warmer. That "right" product will make sure to keep your coffee/tea/cocoa/hot chocolate/any other drink like that nice and warm all day long.
An elegant and functional coffee table will prove an excellent home to a mug warmer. Alternatively, a new computer desk will be able to serve that function too.
What Features to Compare
Mug warmers keep your favorite beverages warm. We're not dealing with rocket science here. These products are not that complicated. At the same time, there are certain details we wouldn't recommend glossing over and parts that discern good warmers from subpar models.
Compatible Mug Surfaces
These warmers are there to keep the drink warm. The drinks come in a cup. Ipso facto, the warmer should be able to fit and work with different cups. Generally speaking, your average electric mug warmer shouldn't have any issues with glass and ceramic cups. Other than that, different models might be able to work with different metals, enamel, tile, high-temperature plastic, the list goes on. Just keep in mind the mugs that you have at home and/or looking to use and check whether the model is compatible with the mug's material.
Power
This is a difficult topic. To keep things simple, how much power your prospective mug warmer draws/is able to draw will determine its energy efficiency as well as its heating speed. More often than not, these warmers meander between 15 and 25 watts. They do not draw nor require too much power, so you should be fine on that front with just about any model.
Controls
Again, we're not dealing with high-tech electronics here. These warmers seldom feature too many controls and these controls are rarely all that sophisticated. Generally speaking, it all starts and ends with an on/off switch. More often than not, you will find a power indicator next to that switch. Sometimes, certain models will include an LED screen with more sophisticated controls like °C/°F temperature conversion but nothing too complicated.
Beverage Temperature Range
This is probably the biggest determining factor that separates different models. Mid-range mug warmers are able to keep your drink somewhere around 130 degrees Fahrenheit. However, high-end models will let you change/adjust that temperature. As you would imagine, you'll be able to use a model like that with many different drinks (and not just drinks too). Plus, you'll have the ability to keep your favorite beverage at that perfect temperature.
Mug and Overall Dimensions
There isn't much to cover here. Some warmers come supplied with a mug. Others do not. As for dimensions, your average model will measure somewhere around 1” x 5” x 5”. More often than not, these warmers are compact enough to be portable. You'll likely have no issues bringing your prospective mug warmer with you on a camping trip.
Tea vs. Coffee
It is a tale as old as time. There are many things people like to argue over. Though harmless on the surface level, tea versus coffee is probably the most divisive subject there is. People religiously defend their favorite hot beverage and will seldom show any tolerance towards different opinions on the subject matter. But let's be a little more objective here for a moment. Both drinks have their advantages as well as their downsides. Let's start with the world's most popular leafy drink.
Tea Benefits
Tea in general and green tea in particular probably has the most virtuous reputation among all drinks. For the most part, the beverage deserves its virtually spotless reputation. Regular tea consumption has been associated and proven to contribute towards lower body weight, improved immune system function, and decreased risk of heart attack and stroke.
But that is just the tip of the delicious iceberg. Other upsides bestowed upon tea drinkers include but aren't limited to higher bone density as well as lower fracture risks.
Drinking green tea in particular very well might protect your brain and help you feel relaxed at the same time. According to Ashley Amaral, cardiovascular ICU registered dietitian at Banner - University Medical Center Phoenix, green tea incorporates L-theanine, the amino acid that triggers the release of GABA neurotransmitter and helps you enter a relaxed state of mind.
Tea’s impressive health benefits' list is lengthy most thanks to its anti-inflammatory properties and abundant antioxidants. It is a fact that black tea and green tea contain more antioxidants than coffee. At the same time, all teas feature catechizes and flavonoids, powerful antioxidants that work wonders protecting against environmental stress.
Tea Downsides
You'd be surprised but tea's biggest downside is the same as coffee: caffeine. As you probably know, caffeine is a stimulant that affects different systems in your body. It impacts the nervous system, making you feel jittery and/or hyperactive, increases your heart rate and/or blood pressure, and will sometimes cause some gastrointestinal discomfort.
Coffee Benefits
The caffeine benefits are more or less well known to the general populace. Coffee isn't just about the caffeine and the jolt that it offers. These delicious roasted beams are good for so much more than that. Multiple peer-reviewed studies suggest that coffee consumption will likely help prevent many chronic diseases, including but not limited to diabetes, hypertension, and liver disease. A study published in JAMA Internal Medicine that included half a million people found that the more coffee people drank (we're talking up to eight cups per day here), the lower was their risk of dying during the 10-year study period. Other studies suggest that coffee might be able to protect memory and brain function. Drinking up to 3 cups of coffee on a daily basis was associated with a 65% decreased risk of Alzheimer’s disease.
