Professional Steamer
This professional hair steamer from Mefeir is a free-standing model that is a great choice for salon or home use. It’s quite bulky and does require sacrificing quite a lot of space; however, it has 4 omnidirectional wheels, so when it gets in the way, you can easily move it away and leave it in a closet. Plus, the sturdy base of this steamer is quite wide and made of durable iron, making it much more stable. The stand here extends from 43 to 51 inches to be convenient even for tall people to sit under the hood.
The offered power here is 600W, which is the most typical number among professional steaming machines. Strong power like this enables the device to produce steam at the volume and speed required to treat your whole head. The steamer offers 2 speeds of generating fog mist. That said, on the maximum power setting, the item produces more mist, allowing you to treat your whole head faster.
Usability
When it comes to usability, the Mefeir 600W Professional Salon Hair Steamer is a standout. Despite its bulky size and powerful motor, it works almost quietly, so you won't disturb people around you.
As mentioned, the unit offers two speeds, which is crucial for pro steamers since we are all different, and the adjustable steam volume can help you choose the suitable steam jet for your very hair type. This steamer does allow you to tweak the power with two easy-to-use switches located on the hood. You can set it to Power 1 when treating fine, damaged hair and Power 2 for thick and coarse hair. Both buttons are conveniently located on the hood.
The steamer hood is made from premium ABS plastic, making it very durable and long-lasting. The hood is large enough for any head to fit in comfortably. So as the steam doesn’t gather inside the bonnet for too long, there are some vents in it - you can adjust them by turning the knob at the front part of the hood. The knob is located very conveniently so that you can reach it while undergoing the steaming procedure.

Portable SPA at Home
What Kingdom Beauty offers you here is three devices packed into one. Besides a hair steamer, which is what this whole review is about, you also get a facial steamer and a humidifier for a small room that can be used as a towel warmer as well. To switch between them, you just interchange the hood (hair steamer) for a nozzle (facial steamer/humidifier).
The ultra-small mist particles released by the device easily penetrate your hair and skin, including the scalp, and moisturize them, helping with dandruff, thin hair, dryness of both hair and skin, and overall health.
The 10-oz water tank will let the steamer work for approximately 45 minutes before you need to refill it. Seeing as most beauty specialists recommend your hair treatment to not last too long, the claimed half an hour will be just enough, and after you're finished with it, you can use the remaining water for face steaming. Just remember that the steam temperature is quite high so, for safety reasons, please keep your face at a reasonable distance from the nozzle, somewhere about 10 inches away at the very least.
Relax. Take it Easy.
This portable hair steamer features a built-in ozone generator, making the hair and skin treatment even more efficient. In moderate amount, ozone is highly beneficial for our health, however, do practice caution and consult your doctor before using this particular function since there are cases where overusing trioxygen on sensitive skin became a cause for allergies.
If you are a fan of aromatherapy, it is another reason to choose this hair steamer among all offered models since it provides you with the possibility to mix essential oils or even dried flowers into the steam. To do that, you only need to take a cotton pad, drop a little oil there, and put it into the pollen box; the same procedure goes for the dried flowers. The oil and flower fragrance will mix with the steam and your body will absorb it fully. Although note that you will need to place the cotton pad into the pollen carefully in order not to block the nozzle of the steamer, otherwise, it can get stuck and cause malfunctioning.
It is fairly easy to assemble the steamer. In the box, you will find four parts plus a user manual, but the latter might even not be needed for assembling since the process is intuitive and takes mere minutes. We do recommend you to read the manual for proper operation, though.
All in all, if you're in the market for a reliable and multifunctional steamer, the KINGDOMCARES is a perfect option. It offers luxury hair and skin treatments. Plus, it can be used for interior humidifying and towel warming.

Multifunctionality Is a Way of the Future
This Secura hair steamer is a tabletop model, making it equally convenient to be used at home and in a salon. It does not take as much space as a freestanding one, therefore, if you happen to live or work in conditions of limited room, this is a perfect choice—set the device on the desk when you need it and then when you are finished hide it in a closet or put it in a corner so that it does not hinder your movement.
Functionality-wise, the steamer offers 350 Watts of power, which is admittedly not much compared to some big freestanding models, however, there are benefits to be found here nevertheless. For starters, it is a two-in-one device; besides being one of the best hair steamers it doubles as a facial steamer. Your face needs moisture as much as your hair does, sometimes even more, so a purchase like this is quite convenient. Moreover, if you, for some reason, be it money, space, or anything else, find a room humidifier an unlikely purchase, you can use this steamer as one. Granted, the effect might be not as strong as with a dedicated model but something is better than nothing in many cases. Basically, if we skip too much nitpicking, it is not a two-in-one but a three-in-one device. At a price the manufacturer asks for it, we do believe you're facing a nice deal here.
Ozone for the Best Results
The Secura hair steamer is quite simple to use. It has an adjustable facial spray attachment and a similarly adjustable 12-inch hood, big enough for just about any person to fit their head inside. There are two buttons at the front: one to turn on/off the steam mode and another for ozone. Now, this is another one of those nice features you won't find on just every model. Ozone is a widely used compound in medicine, not only for hair but to battle a variety of diseases; sometimes even cancer patients can be treated with ozone therapy to make them feel better. But setting aside the general info, the ozone treatment of hair is what is important in this particular model.
Ozone is basically a negatively charged oxygen and its effect on your hair is that it can help with dandruff, hair damage and thinning (which later can lead to hair fall). In combination with a steam treatment, it will bring great results faster and even if your hair has been continuously damaged throughout the years by dye, environment, bad eating and sleeping habits, with the help of deep conditioner and this Secura hair steamer, you can make it healthy again in several months if not weeks.

Great Value
If you want to get the most out of your money, you should definitely consider the Kingsteam SD-02A Hair Steamer. This particular model is a versatile performer that combines a hair and facial steamer in one compact body and comes at less than $70. It can provide your hair with valuable nutrients to make it healthier or open and unclogs the pores on your face, removing dirt, oil, and grime from your skin. Hence, it can save you money in the long run on costly chemical exfoliating scrubs and hair care products.
The feature that makes the Kingsteam 2-in-1 facial and hair steamer stand out above the competition is certainly the advanced PTC ceramic heating element. The PTC electric heating element makes the steamer far superior to traditional models since it helps instantly produce a thick mist that can penetrate deeply into the hair and skin layers. In addition, the PTC electric element requires low operating costs and downtime, which helps make the device more durable and longer-lasting.
Easy to Use
Basically, it’s a compact device with a hood, but for facial steaming, it’s provided with a special attachment. Take note that the hood of the steamer isn’t adjustable. However, we believe it’s a small cost for convenient portability.
The Facial steaming method involves conversion between attachments. Place the facial steamer nozzle, fill the tank with water, and start the device. Depending on your needs, you can adjust the angle of the sprayer thanks to the 360° rotatable spray tube. It’s advisable to steam for 10-15 minutes and keep your face 8 - 12 inches away from the device to avoid burns.

3-in-1 System
SUPER DEAL offers another decent 3-in-1 system for hair and face therapy. It's a small, portable unit that can be placed on a tabletop and, after use, easily hidden in a closet so as not to clutter the room. A perfect choice for living rooms with limited space.
Functionality-wise, with 300 Watts of power, it is on par with other tabletop hair steamers. What's important is that it ensures professional results effectively hydrating your hair and protecting it from breakage and split ends. What's also good about this steamer is that it can be used for your face. Fitted with a face attachment, it produces an ultra-fine mist that can soften your skin, exfoliate and hydrate it by opening and unclogging your pores. As a result, your skin will look fresh, smooth, and radiant.
Aside from hair and facial care, the steamer can be used for interior humidifying. Admittedly, the effect will be not as strong as with a dedicated model, but if used in a small room, you'll likely notice the result. The mist produced will moisturize the air in that room and make it a healthier place for living.
The Power of Ozone
Moving on, the Super Deal PRO 3 in 1 hair steaming system is easy to operate. It has a one-press quick design, making it easy to switch to a spraying pole when you need to turn it into a facial beauty steamer for exfoliating your skin.
The hood attachment is big to fit just any person. Yet, take note that it isn't adjustable, so you'll need to position yourself correctly to get the best results.
As for the controls, there are two buttons only - one is for steam mode and the other for ozone. Thanks to the built-in ozone generator, the device can significantly enhance the absorption of conditioners and other treatment products. UV ozone is a negatively charged oxygen that can also reduce dandruff and prevent hair thinning that can later lead to hair fall.
Lastly, we would like to say a few words about the Intelligent Safety Warning System. The device will produce a beeping sound notifying you that the water will run out soon. And if you don't add more, it'll shut off automatically.

What Is a Hair Steamer?
Many people face the problem of dry or frizzy hair. Be it a natural problem for you or a result of years of putting dye in it and other ways to abuse it, if you do suffer from dry hair, you've probably tried a whole variety of oils, masks, and conditioners. They are all good and well but there is a better way, too. A hair steamer is, essentially, a device that is able to moisturize your hair by opening the cuticle and letting the ointment inside with much better results than the oil can do on its own, the reason being that steam molecules are smaller than oil and even water ones. Treat your hair to a steamer once every couple weeks and you will soon see that its color is brighter, the hair itself is stronger and boasts better elasticity; it will look healthier and it will be healthier.
Before, hair steamers were mostly available at beauty salons and to use them you needed to part with a fairly significant sum of money. Today, there are steamers that you can buy and use at home instead, same as you can now buy a face steamer to treat your skin. They can be compact enough to take with you when you go for a long trip or they can be set at home, mounted on a wall, or put on the desk when in use and hidden when not. They still cost quite a bit but compared to visiting a hair salon biweekly you'll benefit from purchasing your own steamer in the long run. And our review of the best hair steamers can help you choose.
What Features to Compare
Form Factor
Hair steamers are generally divided into four main types: floor standing/wall mounted steamers, tabletop models, handheld ones, and steamer caps. Floor standing models are often seen in salons, they are usually pretty powerful but take quite some space and are usually not very portable. You can use one of those at home if you have ample space. The same goes for wall mounted steamers, they are not movable at all: as the name suggests, you mount them permanently onto a wall and sit under it when it's time for your steaming. They are fairly convenient, though, if you have a dedicated space in your bathroom where you can sit for half an hour or so.
Tabletop models are a lot more compact and, therefore, portable. They are not exactly travel-friendly but you can at least store one of these in a closet and take it out only when you need it; this way, it won't get in the way of your everyday chores. Finally, if you travel a lot, can find yourself on the other end of the world unexpectedly, or simply have limited space at home, a handheld hair steamer is your best bet. They are small and usually resemble a hairbrush so you can complete two tasks simultaneously—steam your hair and brush it. They are also usually cheaper but can be less powerful. Steamer caps are the lightest and the simplest option in terms of storage but they are the least powerful as well.
Functionality
Besides the obvious on/off function that starts and stops the steam, there are several features to facilitate the process for you. First of all, the timer. This one is not a must-have, of course, but it's nice to have an option to just sit under the steamer and relax, read a book, watch a movie, or even doze off without a care in the world. Another feature worth your attention is the ozone. Ozone treatment is highly beneficial for hair, it will help you get rid of dandruff and will make damaged hair much healthier. Steam control is good if you have sensitive skin, and if the design of your steamer is thought-out enough to have venting holes or some other cooling mechanism, it is also a pro. Finally, some hair steamers double as face skin steamers, making them two-in-one devices.
Extras
A bulky standing steamer will benefit from a wheeled base to move it around, different models have different button placement, there might be light indicators to notify you when it's time to stop the treatment or when water refill is necessary, etc. The whole bulk of tiny improvements and targeted features can be found in these devices, so check them out as well.
Did you know?
A steamer is good for dyed hair as well
Generally, most models of these devices are advertised as hair steamers for natural hair, they are especially popular among owners of extremely curly hair like that of native African and African-American people. There is a reason for that, of course: the curlier the hair the more difficult it is for moisture to travel deeper inside, thus, these people suffer from dry and thin hair more often. However, it does not mean that you don't need to steam your hair if it's not natural. In fact, if you color your hair or if you tend to use a relaxer on it, you might need steaming even more. The thing about color treatment is that, even in this day and age, it still does dry our hair. Furthermore, hair steamer will come in handy during the coloring process itself: the steamers have the ability to open up the cuticle and let the dye in deeper the same way they do for deep conditioner; owing to this, the color will last longer, let alone your hair will be healthier. The same applies to the relaxed hair. At the same time, steaming naturally straight and more-or-less healthy hair might be not such a good idea as over moisturized hair looks limp and oily instead of healthy and shiny.
You can do steaming treatment without a dedicated hair steamer
Although the effect won't be as quick or lasting, there are indeed ways to moisturize your hair at home. To do that, you will need two plastic caps (or some plastic wrapper), a towel, and your hair treatment products. Having washed your hair thoroughly, put on the deep conditioner or any oils you wish to use on your hair; massage it into your hair until it covers your hair completely. Put on the plastic cap or wrap the plastic wrapper around your hair. The more snugly the cap sits the better. Put a hot towel around your head—wet it in the hot water and wring it nicely before wrapping so that water does not drip down your shoulders (it will still drip at least a bit, therefore prepare a dry towel beforehand to wipe the water). Put another layer of wrapper or a second cap over the towel. The snugness is not as important here since you will probably need to take it off once or twice to re-wet the towel. The average time to leave the whole thing on is about half an hour unless otherwise is stated on your deep conditioner or you feel uncomfortable. After the time passes, unwrap the hair and let it cool down so that the hair closes up to not lose the useful elements from the conditioner. When the hair is cooled down, you can rinse the remaining conditioner. That's it, your DIY equivalent of a professional hair steamer treatment.
