Two Different Blade Types
Sometimes, dog grooming kits are unnecessarily comprehensive, including like 10 different accessories that most people do not need. That's not the case here. This kit from Bousnic is complete enough.
You get clippers, four different combs, scissors, an extra comb, a cleaning brush, and some blade oil. Again, we've seen more comprehensive sets before but this product is about quality first.
First, the clippers come supplied with stainless steel and ceramic blades. As you would imagine, the stainless steel blades are the sharp ones. Using these blades, you'll be able to cut all coats, straight and short, thick and curly. These blades will let you cut coats as thick/long as 9 mm (3/8").
Meanwhile, the ceramic blades will enable you to easily groom the pet's fur, creating flawless results.
Of course, what defines these kits first and foremost is the clippers. Here, we have excellent clippers. The ergonomic profile will let you easily groom the most hard-to-reach areas. The unit looks elegant and streamlined. You can switch between two different speeds (6000 and 7000 revolutions per minute) to accommodate different coats.
Long-Lasting Battery
The clippers' 2200 mAh Li-ion battery is as long-lasting as they come, usually able to give you ~300 minutes before running out of juice. That's pretty ridiculous considering that the unit takes less time (<3 hours) to fully recharge.
You can recharge this cordless little machine via any USB-enabled device. There are these percentage-based increments on the unit that tell you when the battery gets low, making sure you are not caught off-guard.
More often than not, these clippers are pretty loud. That's not an issue with these ones. The clippers we're discussing here don't go above 50 decibels. Plus, the unit produces very little vibrations, reducing the dogs' anxiety.
Needless to say, the product has its flaws too. From where we're standing, the scissors that come supplied with the kit are pretty dull and basically useless.
On the bright side, the supplied cleaning brush is efficient and effective, equipped with soft yet sturdy bristles to let you quickly clean the attachments. These attachments include 0.12", 0.24", 0.35", and 0.47" combs, pretty standard as far as dog grooming sets go.

As Sharp as They Get
Sminiker Professional Rechargeable Pet Grooming Kit is about as professional as kits within this price range get.
The comprehensive set will let you groom not only dogs but also cats, horses, rabbits, most house pets, really. More often than not, you'll have no issues removing knots and subtle mats. In addition to the clippers, the kit is packing a cleaning brush, comb, nail file, nail clippers, scissors, and blade oil.
There are sets out there that provide you with more accessories/attachments but those are usually unable to match this kit's effectiveness.
Before anything else, what separates this product is the titanium acute-angle blades that easily produce the smoothest results.
At the same time, these blades remain sharp, so you'll be able to use them for ages without honing them.
Plus, you won't have to worry about the clippers pulling the hairs, hurting your favorite pet or, at the very least, making the little buddy uncomfortable.
Grooms Even Horses
For the most part, these clippers look fairly pedestrian. On one hand, the cute little dog close to the blades creates this fun unique design. The rose gold finish mixed with black inserts makes the unit look charming and even somewhat nuanced.
The non-slip grip is comfortable yet firm, so you'll have no issues using these clippers even with wet hands. Plus, the handle is ergonomic and comfortable enough.
All that being said, we've seen more polished units before, so we cannot say that the unit's aesthetics is necessarily its biggest strength.
We can, however, extend this statement towards the clippers' performance.
Incorporating heavy-duty gears, these clippers provide that powerful cut that will let you groom even horses with ease. You can adjust the blades' length between 0.031" and 0.079" (0.9 mm - 2 mm) to accommodate varying hair lengths.
At the same time, the machine remains pretty quiet, keeping the noise levels below 60 decibels and reducing vibrations as much as possible.
The battery is where the product somewhat drops the ball. It will give you about 70-80 minutes of prolonged use, which is not necessarily bad but definitely not something to write home about. Also, the battery takes almost 5 hours to fully recharge, more than we're comfortable with.
On the upside, the included AC charging adapter comes equipped with a pretty long cord, so you won't be especially tied to the nearby socket.
Add to all that the sharp nail clippers and you can see why so many people choose the Sminiker Professional Rechargeable Pet Grooming Kit.

Precision-Cut Titanium Blades
Pet Union Professional Dog Grooming Kit is easily the most complete kit within this lineup. The clippers are great, we'll address them in a moment.
Aside from them though, the people behind this kit send you scissors, thinning shears, nail clippers, rasp, and the standard extra accessories like a cleaning brush, comb, and some blade oil.
Using these accessories, you'll be able to make sure the pet always looks gorgeous, from his coat to the nails.
The scissors are sharp and comfortable enough to cut large chunks, while the thinning shears will let you add nice little touches.
The nail clippers are pretty comfortable too, something that we cannot always say about these accessories. You'll have no issues shaving the nails using these things. At the same time, you can use the included rasp to finish the job.
Having said all that, as much as these attachments/accessories sell the product, they're not worth anything without the right clippers. These are great though. The precision-cut titanium blades will let you quickly and easily cut thin and medium coats without snagging.
Plus, the blades come equipped with rounded edges, pretty much eliminating cuts and irritations.
You'll be able to adjust the blades' length from 0.031" to 0.079" to accommodate various coats.
Apart from that, the clippers will let you switch between 0.12", 0.24", 0.39", and 0.47" combs to fit different body shapes and furs.
Chrome Beauty
The unit looks pretty awesome, sleek and streamlined. You can choose between chrome, gunmetal, and black colors, but we would recommend sticking with the default chrome since that one meshes wonders with the black inserts.
The handle is ergonomic enough to enable comfortable use. The aforementioned black inserts on the handle ensure the firmest grip, so you won't have to worry about dropping the unit.
All things considered, we've no issues with the clippers except that these things are not as good at reducing vibrations as most clippers on this list. The vibrations are really noticeable and pretty uncomfortable, though not strong enough to promote pet anxiety even in small dogs.
On the bright side, the battery lasts pretty long (usually more than 200 minutes) and takes less than 150 minutes to recharge, so you'll rarely be forced to take that into account. Also, the battery indicator will notify you when it is time to recharge.
Bottom line, Pet Union Professional Dog Grooming Kit is as good as any kit within this price bracket.

The Curved Profile
Wahl 9281-210 is an excellent kit, although the product has its flaws.
First, the machine's relatively loud, not loud enough to cause solid commotion but loud enough to make the difference between the unit and most clippers pretty noticeable.
Second, the unit is corded, though that's as much the product's upside as it is its downside. Sure, you'll be tied to the socket. At the same time, you won't have to worry about recharging the battery and you won't have to replace the battery when it inevitably loses its maximum capacity and stops working altogether.
The unit's profile is pretty brilliant though, incorporating this curved form that enables the most comfortable yet secure grip. You'll be able to hold the clippers sideways, upside down, any way you see fit. The chrome face blends seamlessly into the black body, creating this awesome contrast that elevates the unit's appearance and makes the product look much more expensive than it actually is.
Meanwhile, the doggo below the company's logo adds charm points to the otherwise sleek machine, making sure that the clippers do not look too serious or boring.
PowerDrive Cutting System
The clippers' performance sells the kit as much as the unit's design though. The high-carbon steel blades have been precision-ground to make sure these blades are able to remain sharp for years. At the same time, the self-sharpening mechanism provides snag-free cutting and secures basically non-existent maintenance.
What also separates these blades is that you can adjust the length between 0.031" and 0.11", much more than most dog clippers' blades. Also, you'll be adjusting the length using this nice little taper lever next to them that enables easy adjustments, blending, and fading.
You'll be able to groom all coats. The company's PowerDrive cutting system will let you easily cut the thickest coats, with 30% more torque compared to the clippers' predecessor and the blade geometry that promotes excellent fur feeding to protect the pet from pulls or cuts.
The standard four combs (0.12", 0.24", 0.39", 0.47") that come with the clippers have been color-coded here to enable easy identification. Plus, these combs come with a nice storage case that lets you comfortably store and carry them.

The Charging Dock Too
Ceenwes Dog Grooming Kit keeps things pretty simple compared to the kits on this list but not too simple to make the set basic and lacking.
In fact, this kit is pretty packed, including a comb, cleaning brush, blade oil, nail clippers, nail file, scissors, and thinning shears.
Apart from that, what the set is packing is solid clippers with stainless steel and ceramic blades and four different combs (0.12", 0.24", 0.35", 0.47") to accommodate different coats.
The clippers come supplied with a charging dock, which is nice and, as far as we're concerned, more comfortable than most standard corded and cordless clippers with rechargeable batteries since the dock also doubles as this nice storage place that keeps the clippers quickly and easily accessible.
Plus, the dock comes with an AC adapter, so you don't have to worry about keeping the clippers' battery recharged since the unit will be resting on the dock anyway.
The clippers look pretty good, nothing we haven't seen before but good enough to make sure the unit does not ruin just about any space's vibe. The rose gold inserts work pretty well with the black casing, adding character to the unit's otherwise one-dimensional profile, with clean lines and smooth curves.
The six battery status indicator lights will tell you when the battery is at 100, 80, 60, 40, 20, and 0 percent, so you'll be able to recharge the battery only when that's necessary. Also, the battery lasts 240+ minutes and takes less than 180 minutes to recharge, enabling long-time grooming work without interruptions.
The Right Accessories
The aforementioned stainless steel and ceramic blades are sharp yet forgiving, easily cutting most coats without pulling hairs. You can adjust the blades' length from 0.031" to 0.079".
Generally speaking, the clippers are nothing to complain about. They're able to minimize vibrations and make sure the noise levels do not reach 50 decibels. That being said, the unit heats up during use, not enough to scald you but enough to make things uncomfortable, so we would recommend taking short breaks.
The accessories that come supplied with the clippers are pretty great though. The thinning shears will let you complete the task, while the scissors will have no issues cutting long hairs enough to make the clippers' job easy.
In short, Ceenwes Dog Grooming Kit is an excellent bang for your buck, packing effective and efficient clippers and solid accessories.

What Is a Dog Grooming Kit?
Dogs are not called man's best friend for no reason. These creatures are fun, lovable, and, before anything else, loyal.
You want them looking as neat as you do but, as much as you probably love your dog, professional salons are usually pretty steep, more than most people can afford to spend regularly.
That's where these dog grooming kits come in. Using these kits, you're able to groom your favorite pet yourself.
Generally speaking, these kits include capable clippers that let you quickly cut most coats, different attachments to accommodate different hairs, and various accessories that are able to provide some assistance where the clippers are pretty much useless.
These clippers and accessories are usually pretty straightforward but there are some intricacies, so we would recommend addressing the "How to Groom Dogs?" section before using them. Following the tips and guidelines we've added there, you'll be able to use these kits with ease and finesse.
Apart from that, we would definitely recommend looking into dog shampoos since these are necessary not only regarding grooming but also your dog's health and general well-being.
What Features to Compare
Coat Types
Different dog breeds have different coats, from short, medium, and long to single-coated, double-coated, curly, silky, rough, smooth, thick, thin, and so on. Generally speaking, most kits these days are able to accommodate most coat types. That being said, we would definitely recommend looking into the product's disposition on the coat front since they're usually better at grooming some coats and worse at grooming others.
Blades
More often than not, dog clippers come equipped with stainless steel and ceramic blades. These blades are usually sharp enough to groom the thickest coats. Sometimes though, these clippers come equipped with titanium and high-carbon steel blades. When that's the case, these little grooming machines are able to all but eliminate pulling and snagging. Plus, they're less demanding maintenance-wise.
Attachments
The best kits usually include different combs, varying somewhere between 0.1 and 0.5 inches length-wise. As you would imagine, these are necessary to accommodate different coats.
Power Source
On this subject, dog clippers are not that different from most standard hair clippers. More often than not, these clippers come equipped with rechargeable batteries that last somewhere between 60 and 300 minutes and take anywhere between the same range to recharge.
Occasionally, dog clippers are corded, which is nice since you don't have to recharge them but, needless to say, your mobility is limited when that's the case. Sometimes, these grooming machines come with charging docks. We like those since these docks let you comfortably store the clippers.
Accessories
The cornerstone/centerpiece/focal point of these grooming kits is always the clippers. That being said, the right accessories can sell these kits as much as the clippers. Generally speaking, these accessories include scissors that let you quickly cut excess hair before using the clippers and combs that grip the hairs and let you style the dog.
Apart from that, dog grooming kits often include blade oils to maintain the blades, cleaning brushes to keep the clippers nice and clean, nail clippers to make sure the nails are neat too, and thinning shears that let you complete the grooming process.
Extras
Setting everything else aside, what sometimes differentiates these kits is that the clippers come equipped with battery indicators so that you do not forget to recharge the battery and different speed settings (though these are not especially common).
How to Groom Dogs?
More often than not, professional salons are too expensive to justify regular visits. That's why people look into these dog grooming kits to begin with. The issue is that these kits can be pretty complicated, complicated enough to make people devote entire articles towards explaining the intricacies that dog grooming entails. We're not going to write any articles here. We will, however, share a few tips and guidelines that might help beginners figure out these kits.
Never Too Sharp
Dogs rarely enjoy it when you pull their hairs. That's why you should keep the blades sharp. Sharp blades are able to easily slice through hairs without tugging, snagging, and irritating the skin. Plus, when it comes to certain hard-to-reach areas (we're talking around the ears, for example), you're only able to cut using the clippers' top, which is only possible when the blades are sharp.
Slow Down There, Bucko
We get it, time's not always on your side. That's no reason to make your favorite pet uncomfortable though. Go as slow as you can. Do not push the clippers too hard nor too fast since you'll likely be leaving unnecessary lines. Also, when cutting the dog's nails, make sure to avoid clipping too quickly.
There are Always Right and Wrong Directions
Dogs are unique in many ways, including the fact that their hair can change growth direction at specific body parts. Still, you have to make sure you're clipping with the growth to produce smooth, natural-looking results. When you pay attention to the growth direction, the results will be even and fitting the existing coat.
Work With the Dog
More often than not, dogs do not enjoy getting groomed. Make sure to hold your pet to prevent sudden movements. Apart from that, always start shaving from the neck to the back leg. At the very least, that's what professional groomers recommend.
Know the Coat
Visiting professional salons on a regular basis is, again, pretty expensive. We would, however, recommend paying at least one last visit before you start using dog grooming kits. Have the pros walk you through the process, especially regarding specific breeds' coats. Since these kits always come equipped with different combs and let you adjust the blades' length, you need to know which ones you should use and which body parts require them.
Not Too Hot
Generally speaking, these clippers get pretty hot. The handles usually remain cool enough but we would not recommend trusting the handle. In fact, the blades can get hot enough to burn the dog's skin, so we'd definitely advise turning the unit off from time to time and touching the blades to test the temperature. When the blades get too hot, you can use clipper coolants and lubricants. You can switch the blades. You can also put them onto metal surfaces since baking sheets are able to quickly absorb the heat.
Start Early
Dog owners often wait before grooming their pets. Do not do that. When you have puppies, start grooming them young. You'll be able to make them get used to the process and prevent injuries in the long run.
