What customers say about "Key Specs"
Tekonsha Prodigy P2 (90885) Electronic Brake Control
- The inertia response is great, though. Have been using on a 2006 Xterra with a 4200lb camper with dual Dexter axles for 6 months now.
- My trailer has two axles with brakes and the unit setup and works great. In the mountains, I find that on the fly adjustments are easily accomplished with the large screen and large wheel.
- Installed in the RV, controls the tandem axle brakes well, easy to install, good instructions.
- I bought it for my dad to be able to haul a large triple-axle toy hauler trailer with his F-250 diesel and it works like a charm. Easy install and easy to use.
- Works great, had a short in the break system and this thing detected it, even though it was the wire in the axle. pain to find though.
Reese Towpower 74377 Pod Brake control
- I purchased the Reese Towpower based on previous reviews and price. I have brake controllers in four other vehicles and I love this one. I never tow anything more than 2 axle (except for with my F350) and this controller works great in my Excursion.
- I occasionally tow campers or boats as a side job. This brake controller gets the job done 100%. No problems yet and I will update if any arise.
- Easy to intall easy to use and works great!Do not hesitate to buy this product you won't be sorry.
- Purchased this one and you can mount it upside down if you like. (I did) Timed brakes work very well, had no problems with it stopping my 18" trailer towing a car.
- Bought it and installed it, it worked sometimes for about a week then turned off one day and never turned back on

What customers say about "Features"
Tekonsha Prodigy P2 (90885) Electronic Brake Control
- his controller has a boost feature which is handy when loads change. Pulling the single or double PWC trailers does not require any boost, as does the flat trailer when empty.
- There is also a boost feature (that is adjustable also) on this model.
- This is a very smart unit. I really like the feature to hold the button down when brake is engaged to go into reverse mode.
- I bought this one and it is exactly the same just newer and has a feature that if it is turned all the way down when a trailer is plugged in it flashes at you to let you know you have no trailer brakes.
- It has some additional features such as variable boost control and reverse lock out for backing up. Very nice. As long as it's reliable its a perfect fit to my needs.
Reese Towpower 74377 Pod Brake control
- Used this Reese unit with a tekonsha 3040-p adapter plug to connect to my 2015 Toyota Tacoma with no splicing! Plug and play.
- This was bought for adding to my Chevy Suburban. The provided installation instructions effectively stepped me through the installation process.
- I like the ease of the dial adjustment on the unit as it allows me to make easy adjustments based on the trailering conditions.
- Install was easy on my 2012, Ford F-150. Tech support was very responsive and helpful. Perfect for my travel and it worked great on my recent 1000 mile trip.
- It doesn't have all the bells and whistles as the higher end controllers but it's a good product for a low price.
- Haven't hooked it up yet but when I opened the package I realized it didn't even come with the screws to hold the mount to the unit...I figured that would be with it at least.
