- The front facing video is nice quality, and it has a super wide angle which is nice, it also has the option to record at a much lower resolution but at 120fps that plays back in slow motion.
- I will say that the resolution and quality of the photos/videos is suited for small file web based media content. Right away I test all of my gear to understand the limitations and document strengths and possible uses for the future.
- The Android app on a smartphone or tablet is the best experience in my opinion. The "front" mode allows the camera to function similarly to a GoPro style action camera with less resolution choices.
- This is a multi function action camera. It can also be used for dash cam as well as security cam.
- The "front" mode allows the camera to function similarly to a GoPro style action camera with less resolution choices.
- No stitching of images thus no seams or strange missing parts like competitors
- The technology is pretty cool, and when I was able to get a video to view the quality was pretty good for a "fish-eye".
- The resolution is very good and the microphone has a good recording
- If you just need recording, and a reasonable (tomlow) resolution, you’d be happy.
- Image quality poor unless there’s lots of light and even then there is quite a bit of purple fringing apparent
- Very clean crisp images in relativity small file sizes
- The camera itself takes decent pictures. I'm not a camera buff -- so I can't critique the image quality -- but it was definitely good enough for me
- The camera only shoots in a fish-eye format. Any other format is done via the software on your computer. Essentially what is happening is you shoot a fish-eye video then "unfold" it with the software.
- Fantastic size but the file format just isn't widely used. Uploading anything to youtube or facebook was a non-starter.
- With the model I had the memory in the camera itself after it got full, it stayed full no matter how many times I try purging whatever was there or formatting the disk, which should have erased anything recorded.
- The video file format is mp4. I just dragged and dropped in into my chrome browser. It looked like video shot with a fisheye lens pointing up. No surprise there.
- I will admit it took some time getting use to the video format You have to watch the videos in the Mobile Application, Desktop Player,YouTube, Facebook or their own 360fly Web player to really experience the videos.
- Not as good of images as my GoPro but god for quick videos. Best part is, you can set it in the middle of a room and get video of everyone in the room without having to man the camera.
- Bad video quality overall, slow, overheats fast. bad distortion . I winder if 4K is actually better or just has a bigger image
- The image is ok. the functions ok, But If the recording image doesn't let you rec directly down from your eye line because the architecture.
- To summarize, the camera is okay if you want to test the waters of 360-degree YouTube videos but the workflow for processing those videos is currently horrendous, even for a seasoned camera/techie person.
- The lens "hood" is an important accessory that helps to keep fingerprints off the lens cover.
- The most desirable thing about this product is the accessory kit it comes along with - though I must say, a headmount kit would be a great addition.
- All it needs now is the water proof case! (Which I will be buying soon!)
- This product, I very much liked. But underwater housing is very poor. Useless because I bought for use in water. Drop of water is cloudy the inside in the heat of the enter the camera body.
- Compatible with GoPro mounts and other accessories so if you already own them you can use them with this without extra cost
- It is also possible to record under water, but I didn't try that. You can use Google Cardboard to view the results through your cell phone or the more expensive Oculus Rift goggles. It makes for an interesting experience.
- The camera is dustproof, shockproof, and is water resistant to 1ATM (34 feet) when the microphone plug is used. I tested it by throwing it into my pool which is about 9 or 10 feet deep.
- Battery seems to go quick and no way to add extra battery
- No LCD or other way to easily change settings without a smartphone or tablet. Also only works with certain phones and tablets listed on website.
- 360Fly support said that I should buy the waterproof dive housing before taking it snorkeling so I did. It fogged up in about 3 seconds and started leaking water within 5 minutes.
- This little guy is very cool. -one star cus wifi connectivity issues. Other than that very cool!
- Excellent video quality. Built-In Wi-Fi/NFC Connectivity and motion detector.
- This is a fun camera, but if you want to use it for VR you need to upgrade to the Kodak 4K SP360 and physically move the lens built-in while connected to an HDMI HD monitor to check your item is in focus
- Hard to connect to if you don't want to use their app. Can't change IP address.
- The iPhone software that controls the (video) camera is terrible. You can't even view the videos that are downloaded to your phone without connecting to the camera!! 2 people found this helpful
- The latest update solved problems and it's nice to have the option to connect to the PC for continuous recording without having to download the videos every time the memory in the camera gets full.
- It connects to your smart phone and you can dictate how it records and monitor what the camera is viewing.
- The charging station, on the other hand, connects magnetically, so you just sit it on top for charging. Thankfully, the folks at 360fly decided to use a normal USB cable, so I always have cables at the ready.
- The most annoying parts of the camera I found was having to disable the Wi-Fi on your device to connect to it to control it, which is necessary to use the time-lapse and POV features.
- The app does not properly connect to the camera, have to go into Settings and manually cycle the WiFi connection off and back on again before the camera shows up properly in the app.
